Hotel Kong Arthur

What can I say... Covid caused us to have to cancel our vacation and both the hotel, and Expedia refuse to refund our room rate. I understand it was an non refundable room rate, but, we did not cancel through any fault of our own. I even called the hotel several times willing to compromise by requesting a room credit instead of a refund, for when travel opens up, but was told it was basically Expedia’s policy, not the hotel’s. what a disgrace that no one is receptive to what is going on, and I have to lose hard earned money.

The staff were brilliant. Very friendly. Initially booked for the Copenhagen half marathon but still came and enjoyed it immensely.

We booked this room understanding that it was nonrefundable, but when the Covid hit and we had to cancel all of our plans this was the only hotel that refuse to not only refund us our money but wasn’t even willing to give us a credit that we could use in the future. When I spoke to them on the phone they told me and I quote things are tough all over.

Friendly staff, great location. We were in a newer part of the hotel. There is no air conditioning, but they did provide a fan. The room was very hot which made it difficult to sleep. The common areas and hallways were also very warm. It was warm weather during our stay. We would stay there again, but only when the forecast is for weather 20 degrees or cooler.

The hotel is located in the Lakes sector which is very closed to the city center and the shops (10 minute walk). There are also a good amount of restaurants all around which is nice. Overall the hotel has a great design and very clean. They don't have the AC but at least had 2 fans in the room to cool down the temperature in the evening. The only thing is there was a bit of noise early in the morning as the kitchen was receiving delivery. So if you don't like early wake ups then use the ear plugs provided. The breakfast was really good with lots of organic products. They have a strict procedure and provide gloves so you can limit risks of contamination. The only reason why I gave them 8/10 is because of the lack of amenities in the bathroom and the noise in the morning. But otherwise it's a beautiful and very nice hotel.

the location is great. room facility also very good. Staffs are helpful and friendly. The lounge area is nice.

Denmark closed it's border to the US Citizens. Our entire trip was cancelled and all parties refunded us...EXCEPT this hotel. Expedia was not very helpful either. Won't be using either of these going forward.

Canceled due to Covid-19 but refused a refund. I'm out my entire bill even though I am barred from entering Denmark.
