The Melrose Georgetown Hotel

My husband and I had a great weekend in dc and felt very safe staying at the Melrose Hotel during the COVID pandemic. Hand sanitizer was readily available in the lobby and outside our room and staff maintained social distancing. The room was nicely decorated and the view from our window was awesome. The hotel is conveniently located between Georgetown and Foggy Bottom and is walking distance from the Lincoln memorial, a metro stop and lots of nice restaurants and shopping. The staff was very friendly and we had a great time exploring downtown DC and being able to easily stop back at our room for a break when we were getting tired of walking.

Wonderful Hotel! I was in town for business and was given a free upgrade which made my quick trip to DC all the more enjoyable. I would highly recommend this hotel. It is where I will be staying from now on when in DC.

Great place and great service. They had a slight problem with temperature control in our room, but that was just one room that presumably will be fixed soon.

Great hotel. Close to supermarkets, sights, etc. Would definitely stay again.

Weekend stay, checked out Monday AM. Staff was very accommodating.

Great front desk and guest service staff

The only reason why I didnt leave was because of the gentleman that checked me into my room. The room was perfect for what I needed however later that night it was extremely cold.I called guest service Who came up and turned the heat on in the room and Explain the windows were open earlier and gave us a heater. Throughout the night the temperature dropped and I woke up to call the front desk. The reservation manager that Answer explained that it was DC’s law not to have the heat on at this time. I explained that we had no heat in that was probably incorrect. She then stated there was nothing that she can do I then say OK and hang up now im angry as much is the room cost.About 30 minutes later the lady calls back and says she will have another heater sent to my room. I have a suite so that’s why the room is still cold. But this time I have called 311 and other hotels asking the question and let her know that she did not tell me the truth. She didn’t apologize and says that it is the hotels policy not to have on the heat at the time and she can refund one night For me sleeping uncomfortable. This was something special I couldn’t move so I said OK and hung up. No more than three hours later I had no electricity in my room. I was then told the electricians Does not come in until 2 PM on the weekends someone will be up there. Sad but true I was laughing in a room with no electric for two hours and had to go And remind them. The electrician say OK I’m on I’m going now worst stay

Good stay for a few days. I always love this spot it’s a great hotel, only knock is it’s not the most modern. And the WiFi for video conference (Zoom) wasn’t the best. But the staff was really helpful and we got it to work acceptably. But a good spot near Georgetown.

Stay was amazing

The hotel is in a great location in DC. I recommend this hotel for anyone that is looking at going to DC but also wants to be close to Georgetown.
