Viewpoint Hotel

Small, clean, fantastic room service. Close to center and 8 min to metro

Location is a short walk to the popular Red Square. Staff went out of their way to help and had excellent English. Amenities included everything you could think of, plus the staff gave us a complimentary bottle of champagne to ring in the new year! Thanks for an excellent stay, will be back again for sure.

The hotel itself is really nicely furnished and in a very good location. However my stay was marred by construction work that ran throughout the day and night (until at least 1am) that the hotel allegedly has no control over. The upper floors of the hotel are still under construction so I didn't fully believe that the noise was all from the neighbours as the staff told me. The hotel staff were however apologetic for the disruption but I think that the hotel/hotels.com need to make it clearer at the point of booking that there is construction work going on in the building; if I had known this I would not have booked this hotel. I travel for business mainly and ultimately I look for two things in a hotel; cleanliness and quietness. Sadly the Viewpoint Hotel only fulfilled one of those things. When the construction has finished I'm sure this is going to be a great hotel to stay at.

This is a new small hotel in the heart of the city on Sadovnicheskya Embankment- with a great view and an outstanding location . I had a very pleasant stay there, wonderful amenities , friendly staff. Will definitely book again !

I should have listened to previous reviewers who mentioned about the construction noises. As soon as I arrived and was guided to my room I could hear constant drilling and hammering from upstairs. I wasn't even warned prior to coming to the hotel that this would be ongoing 6 days a week! It generally starts at roughly 9am and then stops after 7pm. You can't even come back to the hotel in the afternoon and have a nap after walking around all day unless you want to put up with this nuisance noise. To be fair to the hotel this has nothing to do with them and is out of there hands, however, this totally ruined my experience of having a good time in Moscow and if I ever do return I will not stay at this hotel. I was truly disappointed because other than that this hotel would have been alright. I also found the double bed a bit uncomfortable whereby instead of being entirely flat there is a slight raised parting in the middle of the bed which can make it hard to sleep and restricts your movement. The blankets are also too short and I had to rearrange them length ways to cover my entire body. I was expecting more from this hotel but was let down and there is no inhouse bar or restaurant either which makes it feel rather barren and isolated. Overall, I left rather disappointed and would not stay here again.

Great modern hotel, walking distance to red square. I really enjoyed the weekend there. The breakfast menu didn’t say it’s room service only, went down and was told that there is no kitchen or sitting area can only order in the room, would have been handy if this was told at checking in.

Great location, modern new building, room was well appointed, lots of space. So good value for the price given the location. They also arranged a taxi to the airport for us at a good price. The slight downside is the breakfast situation as they don't have a restaurant on-site and it is delivered from their nearby sister 5 star hotel. Food arrived hot so no problem there but you can only take it in your room. Room service food also available although I didn't try it. Also the room numbers are confusing! Definitely ask reception for directions! In our case, they actually kindly showed us to the rooms! Overall these are small downsides. The Balchug Viewpoint is a great hotel. I would stay again.

Great value for money - located within talking distance to all historical sites of Moscow

Close proximity to all attractions. Room service food comes from there hotel next door so by the time you get it it can be cold

Clean and at the centre of town. Location is not the most convenient as walking is necessary. No convenience store nearby although it is a 10 minute walk away.
