We stayed here after a journey down from the UK on the TGV and before picking up a car hire the next day: liked the hotel - unpretentious, friendly and reasonably priced. It was only 5 minutes walk from the drop off for the shuttle from the TGV station which is a few miles outside Aix. (We would, by the way, recommend doing the TGV trip from the UK.) "Perfect location"
I booked in January for a stay in July (special rates during Expedia sale). I paid for a single room with a shower, but was delighted to be allocated a small double room with a bath. Furthermore, the room had a small balcony with a table and chairs - perfect! I dined at Brasserie Leopold on both Sunday and Monday evenings, when many local restaurants […] are shut. "convenient, clean, quiet & great location"
reception staff were helpful & friendly...room was clean, quiet & nice-sized, w/ a multi-jet shower which was surprisingly very nice...hotel was well located near historic town, info tourist center, bus & central train station. breakfast coffee was not good, but excellent croissants... restaurant for dinner was convenient w/ good food & fairly popular.... Great location and lovely brasserie. My room wasn't great, but I know some are very good. I suggest you ask to see your room when you check in. This hotel is what it says it is. It is a nice little hotel - clean and comfortable, but small. We spent one night there essentially on our way to the rest of Provence. The hallways are narrow with lots of steps, in case you have luggage. The restaurant is pleasant - nothing to rave about, but again, comfortable and accommodating of children. Hotel was comfortable, bed was good, dinner was great. Had the slowest internet I have encountered since dial-up and only available for one logon so that was a big disadvantage to us who are travelling in a different hemisphere and need to keep in touch with family by email.
