DoubleTree Resort & Spa by Hilton Brian Head – Brian Head

We stayed in this lodge a year ago and really enjoyed it. Decided to try to recreate the experience. We were greeted by a friendly reception and warm cookies. When we checked into our room there was water dripping inside the window from snow melting off the roof. We called the front desk and they quickly got us a new (upgraded) room. This room was bigger […] and had a fireplace, but we quickly discovered we had a noisy family with several small children next door. Either the walls are very thin, or the family was being extremely loud. We had dinner in the restaurant / bar as we had the year before. We were a little disappointed to discover the menu had changed and they no longer had this amazing steak pizza. We ordered a "build-your-own" pizza and a caesar salad. The salad was delicious. check in was quick easy/efficient. Our room was nice, clean, but very warm. Shut off the heat all three nights we were there but our room remained about 74 degrees. Too warm to sleep well, weird? Housekeeping never cleaned our room next day, we asked but they never came, called three times to get clean towels. Next day they cleaned our room, but no […] towels? Weird? The food in the lift was fair, typical bar food. Service was a little slow as we noticed from other reviews but we were in no hurry. We enjoyed the complimentary coffee in the morning. The hotel is nice looking, but the rooms were not cleaned. Upon checkin the room was dirty and it was never cleaned. They only emptied the trash. Not enough towels and no fresh towels thru-out the stay. Even after we threw them on the floor, the maid just left them there. No shampoo refill or soap refills. Service was terrible. Room was noisy. This hotel apparently caters to families and there are kids running all over the place. The noise level in almost intolerable. Nothing was done to control the children running up and down the halls and jumping up and down in the rooms above us. People with children should be put on the bottom floor and they should be warned that unruly children will […] not be torlerated. In addition to that, the supposed free wifi was non-existent. The quality of the wifi was terrible if you were you lucky enough to be able to sign on to it. You would think a nice hotel would have an Technical crew that was able to put up a decent wifi system. I plain words, "the wifi sucked." Next time we will be staying across the street at Cedar Breaks Lodge where we were able to enjoy our stay in the past without the constant noise of children running amuck. Další informace

We checked in and requested a quiet room. The lady at the front desk told me that it was Presidents weekend and all rooms would be noisy. They gave us room 218, which is the closest to the entrance of the bar (live music till all hours of the night). When we got to the room, the beds were made, but the toilet had dried urine on it and the sink had dried […] toothpaste and dried coffee stains in it. They were apologetic and gave us the room across the hall. The room was not clean either, but was better. The add said there would be bathrobes, but there were not. No hangers and only 2 towels. (no washcloths, floor towel or hand towel). We were there 4 days and had to ask for our room to be cleaned. They only make the beds and empty the trash. I spilled a couple of drops of coffee and they never even wiped the floor. One day we were there when the maid came and she left without making the bed. When we asked her to do so, she was not happy. There was a piece of lettuce and crackers on the floor from previous occupant. We asked the front desk to have our room cleaned, they told us they would, but never did. The maids do not even have a vacuum cleaner with them when they clean. The property is beautiful, but the service is horrible. We wanted to use the outdoor jacuzzi, but it was closed for cleaning the whole Presidents Day weekend? The indoor pool/jacuzzi area is so small and has a strong smell like chlorine. The pictures look great, but it is tiny and all of our eyes were burning due to the smell. I am not a big complainer, and spend many nights a year in hotels, but this place is HORRIBLE!!!! I would not recommend this place to anyone and would not go back. I will spend more time in Brian Head, great little town and many other hotels to choose from. Hope this review helped! The hotel was great! Our room was a bit dirty. There was a cracker left on the floor under the curtain and a pretzel bag behind the night stand. I would still stay again. I think those things were just oversights. My kids loved the pool and breakfast was so cheap in the steakhouse.

I find it impossible to be rated a 3.5 or 4 star and have room service cut-off at 9pm and no vending machines to be found. The rooms were pretty nice and the place seemed clean, but lacks in amenities and makes me just want to go save a hundred bucks and stay down in Cedar City.

Wow, What a treat to stay at this truly magnificent resort adjacent to the Brianhead Ski area. Beautiful, Friendly, Affordable, Spacious... Truly 5 Star. I am an old hotel veteran having been a Convention Director at a 4 Diamond/4 Star Resort and this hotel surpassed my old hotel in so many ways. Very pleasantly surprised and feel that the value for price paid was outstanding! Very convenient to Brian Head Ski Resort (about a 1/2 mile from the Navajo Ski Lodge & Learning Center & a mile or so from the Giant Steps Lodge). We will definitely return to The Grand Lodge!

Everything was great. The room was beautiful. What we loved most was being able to bring our dog with us.

My husband and two children stayed at this hotel while visiting the very nearby ski resort (shuttle provided through hotel to resort which is very close to hotel) The hotel was nice, the staff members were great and attentive especially for younger employees. The outdoor hot tub was great in the 30 degree weather. The hotel is noisy and I really can't […] believe how many parents let their kids run wild through the halls.. not the hotels fault though. The Highlights: Check-in was delightful. Although I can't recall the young lady's name, her cheerful demeanor was very endearing. The Grand Lodge is close enough to Brian Head Resort lifts that I wouldn't trade it for the musky stench of wet rugs you'll find in more convenient ski in/out locations. Two on-site restaurants, both menus available via room […] service. Not vegetarian or health-friendly menus, but use that excuse to ski/ride harder. The mini-fridge is perfect to store fruits and veggies. The Red Leaf Spa is divine and gloriously empty. Instead of après libations, we resorted to quickie massages. Our sore muscles thanked us for it and yours will, too. The LOW-lights: Paper-thin walls and floors. If you yearn for a good night's slumber, BRING NOISE-CANCELLING HEADPHONES and/or sleeping pills!!! It's absolutely baffling how many families allow their kids to run up and down the rooms and hallways, banging doors and drawers, as if no one else paid for accommodations. Even adults seem to weigh 500 lbs each by the way the STOMP STOMP STOMP on the upper floors. Upon check-in, I even requested a quiet room and was reassured my room would be; It certainly was not. Upon check-out, when I unloaded my luggage off the trolley and etiquette compelled me to put it back where it belonged, the manager just stood there by door, hands behind his back, pretending to be oblivious to the wobbling trolley rolling by him. Granted, this place isn't the Four Seasons, but is hospitality a dead art? Every day we stayed there, we spotted that trolley left behind in the middle of hallways. Hotel is nice ski resort and good place to rest between Bryce and Grand Canyons. Pool is great, rooms were nice and clean but service in pub/restaurant was terrible. Sat there for 30 minutes before I finally went and got menus myself. Service in steakhouse for breakfast was much better and food was good.

The Grand Hotel in Brian Head was very comfortable. The room was very up dated, and the beds were very nice. We will recommend this hotel to others. The only thing that I thought needed improvement was the menu in the bar and restaraunt that they have there. There was not a large selection.

It was extremely welcoming to kids and our puppy. Very family friendly place. The restaurant was a tad over priced and there wasn't much option for a quick bite to eat. We were okay with that, but something to consider. Super close to skiing, snowboarding, and tubing! And there is a shuttle to take you. We are looking forward to going back :)

Nice upscale property. Friendly service, good food, very nice rooms. We visited off season and hotel operating with a small service staff very eager to please. Good value for off season.

Superbe hôtel situé dans une région boisée très calme, en altitude. L'accueil est très chaleureux, les prestations de qualité (tant pour le confort de la chambre que pour la restauration).
