The room we booked was "over booked" so we were given another room, nothing like what we booked for the same price!!!!

The staff was very nice on the phone. We checked in on a Friday and our room didn't get cleaned on Sat. We had to ask for clean towels. The room smelled of smoke and it seemed like other guest live there, since dogs and cats were loud through out the night. The neighborhood wasn't what I expected. The hotel itself and our room were very nice. The staff leaves alot to be desired. After driving 3 1/2 hours in traffic we arrived at the front desk of our hotel to find no one was there. After standing at the front desk a few minutes I realized there was someone behind the desk, she was all the way over to the right corner which made it difficult to […] see her. I said "excuse me", after a moment she came over to us and then excused herself to a back room without explanation. She did come back after a moment but her attitude was quite unfriendly. Check out was no better. My husband waited near the front desk while the girl behind the counter engaged in a personal conversation with someone else at the desk. Finally my husband just left the room keys, was not acknowledged by the employee, and did not receive a copy of his bill. Based on the service in this hotel I would not stay there again. When I pulled in outside was nice and clean. Whene checking in hotel staff was very nice and welcoming! They told me my room was all brand new. When walking to room halls were dark and carpet was dirty. My room when walking in smelled like smoke. Not sure why when it was suppose to be brand new.... stains on cabinets, toilet seat and tub. I am not a […] smoker so that was the biggest thing for me ( the room smell) it might have been a smoking room before remodeling and the smell was still there. When I walked in little early women at front dask asked me "you wanna check in now" I want that rude n I stayed in lots hotels no one ever asked me this. I visit my family in ny and it's closer so I choice to stay there and I think hotel should hire better stuff before they start losing business. Evening guy was pretty nice. Clean, spacious,comfortable room. No fancy anything, but I wasn't paying for fancy. The dogs next door barked for a few minutes when I dropped the toilet seat in the middle of the night :) its nice to know we have protection!

It was a clean, very quiet room. However maintenance was below par. Neither our sink, nor our tub had a working stopper.

I think the dog in the room right next to mine was very annoying. Barking until 11 pm each night....unacceptable. How is anyone supposed to get a good nights sleep? Very disappointing! Also, the room did not have a pen or any small pad of paper, so when I attempted to jot something down, I couldn't. Come on.......pen and paper? Having to pay extra to have room cleaned and fresh towels, etc. was kind of ridiculous. Always thought those services were what make a hotel a hotel.

Very quiet area for our stay. Staff was pleasant. We got into town very early and they got us in to our room right away - no waiting.

People who worked there are friendly, and they gave us much help when we needed to order taxi and take-away. But, there was not much to do in daytime. Did not like that the whole room smelled smoke.

When I entered my room the cleaning person had a window open which I thought was odd on a 100 degree day. She said she was airing out the smell from the cleaning supplies. I did notice an odd smell but thought it would go away. After returning to the room a few hours later the smell was still there. The only way to describe the smell is ether a dead […] animal or curry. I sprayed air freshener several times which hid most of the smell till I fell asleep. In the morning the smell was back. While checking out at the front desk I told the clerk about the bad smell. She didn't show any concern about my bad stay, no sorry about that, no condolences at all. The only remark was that she would look into it. The other bonus about the room was the dirty rug. The minute I put my feet on it I had to run to the shower to wash them off. I have stayed here before and I think that the place is a good value. There are a lot of out of towners staying here while doing work in the area. It is not a family place because they do not have a pool or spa. It is a good room to spend time in overnight without a lot of vacation like amenities. It has a small kitchen with an apt sized refrigerator. […] So you can do some lite cooking and keep food. I had a non-smoking room but there are areas of the hotel that smell of smoke. What you get is pretty basic for the price but the lack of frills may be what help make the hotel so quiet. People aren't here to vacation in particular. We didn't hear other guests and could actually get some sleep.

The room decor was dated. Some items were in need of replacement. The bathroom needed a thorough cleaning before we could utilize it. The cable choices were very limited. All in all I would choose another hotel when in this area again.

I understand that we were on a smoking floor, but air it out once in a while!!! The front desk attendant could have smiled/greeted/welcomed us.

The experience of other reviewers was not mine. I only got the hint of the smell of smoke in the elevator, and then only once. Friendly front desk. Clean common areas. Clean and well-lighted rooms. My desk chair had a a few stains, but other than that, everything was like new or gently used. For the money (in NY prices), it's worth it.

Internet connection was very poor and were unable to use it which made a few things difficult. There was also no microwave in the room as expected with the kitchen area. Over all the room was good.

The only issue was that there was a terrible smell in our room. I think it was maple syrup that was old in the garbage basket. it was horrible. We needed a pet friendly hotel and a hotel to accommodate my cooking needs. This was the place! I've stayed in much nicer hotels but this one served its purpose. I reserved this room for a couple as a one night honey moon stay and they were so happy with their stay they told me they would like to return as they were treated very well by the hotel and they had biligual spanish clerks that helped them out in the reception. I'm very satisfied with this hotel.

Though the linens were clean, this hotel was not what I expected. The furnishing and overall decor were grossly lacking and cigarette smoke flows throughout the entire facilities HVAC system. Fairly disgusting.

My friend and I traveled to LI for a bicycle race in November. We needed a hotel that would provide a clean, quiet, safe room that was close to the race venue (Eisenhower Park). What we liked in particular was the fact that the room was larger than the typical hotel room and the kitchenette allowed you to cook. I've stayed in Extended Stays before and this one was the least impressive. Room rate was the highest I have ever paid to stay at an Extended Stay, door was damaged, a closet shelf was damaged, and the coffee maker was not a normal size so we could not use our coffee filters.

We were supposedly put in a nonsmoking room, but it must have been a smoking room for the previous visitor!!! It smelled horrible!!! The minute I walked into the hotel I smelled a slight hint of smoke. Then I entered the elevator and it smelled like smoke disguised by some air freshener. The Air freshener did not help. I had to literally hold my breath. When I entered my room there was a bit of smoke smell but when I entered the bathroom, it was too intense. Had to close the door […] to the bathroom.
