One of the worst hotels I've stayed in. Don't be fooled by the "perfect" location between the two Gare's. The hotel hasn't been updated in decades and may have been a 2 or 3 star when it was built. The beds are more like cots, no shower, no A/C, paper thin walls. Not sure how clean it was because is just too old to even judge.

Room was fine, although kinda small. Shower was excellent...great water pressure and hot water all the time. Staff helpful in answering any questions re surrounding area or hotel services. Continental breakfast adequate although could use cold sliced meat and hard boiled eggs. For a 2 star hotel it was fine.

A good rate, clean rooms, friendly staff, and close to the metro stop. The down side to this is that rooms are very small, and the neighborhood (while not necessarily scary) doesn't give the Parisian feel that a hotel closer to Notre Dame/Tuilleries Gardens might. Overall, a good stay and a good rate.

Room was not clean, red carpet with black stains all over and the bed was not comfortable. You could hear noises for other rooms also on reception the guy was very rude an unhelpful. I wouldn't ever book a room also wouldn't recommend anyone to stay there.

The single room was very small, but adequate for my purposes as I had an overnight stay in Paris and needed to be close to the station to return to the airport.

Hotel was nice. Staff were extremely helpful, spoke English. Location was very convenient. Easy walk from both Gare du Nord and Gare du l'Est. Free WiFi available. Breakfast very simple: good breads and good coffee and yogurt and orange juice.

The walls are paper thin. It is a very dated building. Does not look like the pictures. There is little space in the rooms. The bathroom had a hand held shower that sprayed everywhere. There was a used dirty cotton bud in the bathroom and behind the sink was dirty. The sheets smelt of cigarette smoke. The beds were children's beds very low.

I stayed at this hotel years ago and I chose it again for the convenience to Gare du Nord. The rooms were clean enough but it does need an overhaul (painting, new tiles,etc.). Continental breakfast with coffee/tea/orange juice was good for the extra cost.

We only stayed one night. They did have taken into account my requests (2 single beds instead of a double) therefore they gave us an extra single room for free to compensate.

Very close to the train station, but takes a little more than a hour to get to the main attractions. Decent price compared to other options. Room was fairly spacious, but not the cleanest. Chose since it's extremely close to Paris-Nord. Easy to find, was clean, check-in was very easy, just showed my printed reservation and they handed me key. Hotel was a major disappointment, scruffy, dirty walls and carpets in main parts of hotel, tiny beds that were so uncomfortable. No sound on T.V. Unhelpful and rude male receptionist who never helped with any of our complaints. The staff was helpful and friendly. Although we were too early for check in they kept our luggage in a safe place and this allowed us to go explore Paris. We were able to take the metro just a couple of blocks away and go everywhere we wanted to. The location (3 minutes walk from GDN Station) makes this 2* Hotel convenient but, as with all Hotels in paris, there is no value for money. Prices are the norm for the area so, if you need to be in this part of Paris you will struggle to find antything at the price to comapre with this. We booked to stay very last minute. The staff were friendly and helpful on arrival. The room was basic and clean though the 70's decor does leave a lot to be desired! However for a budget stay, centrally in Paris, it does the job.

Just needed somewhere close to the Gare Du Nord as we had a very early Eurostar trip to London. The location is fabulous just a 5 min walk to the station and also very close to 2 metro stops. Although only rated 2 stars, I expect more than this. Peeling wallpaper in our room, curtains with holes in, a cracked washbasin. The hotel is located near the Gare de nord Rail station. That is the first convenience of anyone arriving by train. The staff is very friendly. If you arrive early they keep your bags for you till you it is time to get your room and when departing they would do the same for you, which is very nice. I chose this hotel for price and location near Gare du Nord (train from CdG Roissy airport) (and it was available short notice) for an overnight between flights, with enough time for me to go down to the center city for an evening stroll and late supper in a cafe. The rooms were decent; enough for our needs. When we arrived, the light in our bathroom was not working, but the issue was resolved quickly. The staff were friendly and competent in a variety of languages, including English, French and Spanish. An overall pleasant stay.

The position of the hotel is excellent, close to the Gare du Nord, a few minutes walk. Otherwise it is a basic hotel, but acceptable for the price. I could hear people snoring in other rooms at night. The television also did not work in my room, and the chair was broken.

The hotel was in reasonable condition for the money paid. The room was basic, but this is to be expected. The location of the hotel is good if you have company, being very close to Gare du Nord (the International rail as well as Metro). I would not stay there again as a solo female traveller as the streets surrounding the hotel feel unsafe.

Close to Gare du Nord but that is all it has to offer. Rooms were as clean as the maids could get it, but the stained carpet was hard to look at let alone walk on. This hotel is reasonably priced for the location and ease of getting to the train station for other sightseeing. Rooms are small but adequate and cleaned each day. Hotel staff are pretty friendly. Good place for a 2-3 day visit of Paris.

I booked this hotel on the basis of an expedia recommends as I wanted a safe simple location for myself and my daughter near the station I was not prepared in any way for how seedy the area was on arrival and would have booked somewhere on a main street to feel more secure our room was extreemly small and dirty, the bathroom was mouldy with black mould […] growing from the door the shower facility didnt work and the bath was ok for a midget the tv didnt work and there were no refreshment facilities or any means to get a basic drink of water.
