Hotel rooms too warm

Stayed with my wife and 2 kids (both under 10) for two nights in April, 2012. Was really pleased with value. Room was small but very functional and great for our basic needs, pull out sofa for kids had two single beds. Walked to Eiffel tower (approx 1.5m) through the streets of Paris, savoring the pulse of the city. Very clean and quiet room. Nice breakfast. OK neighborhood but not exactly in the center of Paris, 10 min walk to nearest metro (Montparnasse or Pasteur).

Stayed 3 nights in April 2012. This hotel is modern and our room was ideal for a family of 4, with a double bed and a fold-out double sofa bed which was comfortable for the children (age 16 and 12). There is not much floor space left when the sofa bed is open, but then we didn't spend much time in the room! The bathroom was modern, with a good shower […] cubicle separate from the bath. Our rate included breakfast, which was a well-presented 'all you can eat' buffet-style spread with cold and cooked selections. The location is good for access to the metro, being equidistant from Montparnasse-Bienvenue and Pasteur stations (both about 600m). The journey from either CDG or Gare du Nord is therefore easy with luggage with only 1 change at Denfert-Rochereau needed. The neighbourhood is quiet and seemed safe at night, being well-lit with bars and restaurants nearby without being rowdy. We would definitely stay at this hotel again if we came back to Paris. The best thing about the Novotel Paris Gare Montparnasse was its location.....we tried to take a taxi from the train station but the driver said it's right there! It was indeed about a block away! There was a bus stop across the street also and the neighborhood was nice. The price was a bit high, but that is Paris!

Love staying in Paris for a weekend, and especially cloase to Montparnasse. Having stayed at most of the hotels available this is the best Quality -Price ratio,

The best thing abht Novotel Gare Montparnesse was the location - right in the heart of the city with easy access to Eiffel tower and Champs élysées. Metro connectivity also great. However rooms are small especially for a family of 3 (couple and kid). Service needs improvement as staff just didn't seem to be too concerned.

Nice hotel - small room for family. It was ok for us as we spent barely any time in hotel. Good for price.

The room is fairly small but big enough for 2 to move around.The cleanliness of the restroom could have been a little better and the room overall as someone with very long hair stayed prior to us and they were everywhere to be found.Otherwise , very helpfull staff , I was surprise to see that they charge $20 deposit for iron and board , which were refounded […] upon return. The hotel was great and the breakfast though a little exspensive was well worth it. We had issues with approaching the hotel. The one way streets around it and getting to the parking garage was a bit tricky. We were only a short walk from the tube and it was easy to get around to everything. I would stay there again if we go back.

We had an excellent stay. Family room with our two small children sleeping on sofa beds - not huge, but perfectly adequate and comfortable. A very nice clean and modern hotel, the staff were very friendly and helpful. Only drawback was that it is a little far from the major attractions of Paris, which was a bit of a problem for first time visitors who did not know our way around.

The carpet in this hotel is dirty, they need to replace it with wood floors. The breakfast buffet is awful. The hotel needs more employees who speak English. The location for sightseeing is to far from anything, you have to walk to a Metro and the walk is far from hotel.

Modern and clean. We liked that it was away from tourist sights. We arrived at gare lyon train and took taxi to hotel(18 euros). Close to metro so it was easy to get around. Also we took the "les cars AF " bus to airport which was close to hotel and very convenient. The only complaint would be that we were 3 in a triple room but every day our room was […] cleaned we would only be left with towels for 2. So every day I would get an extra towel before going up to my room. Not a big deal but kinda wierd. Overall we loved it. First - this hotel is not in a convenient location as others would have you believe. While it is next to a train station, the nearest metro that takes you to the popular attractions is a 10 minute walk away. You may not think that's very far, but if you're in Paris for several days, it gets to be a drag, esoecially when you come home tired at night. Second […] - the neighborhood this hotel is in is a bit shady. My wife and I were somewhat scared to walk home at night. Third - the service is not that good. When we checked in, they gave us a handicap room. This means the toilets are 12 inches or so higher than standard toilets. Imagine trying to balance yourself while your doing your thing. When we asked to change rooms, the front desk did it but with somewhat of an attitude. Fourth - the rooms are tiny. I was in the bath and asked my wife to get some water for me. Without getting off the bed, she can pass me the bottle while I'm in the tub. And the rooms are noisy. We have trouble sleeping because of traffic and noise coming from adjoining rooms. It's as if there's no sound insulation. Fifth - the linen they use is very poor quality. My wife and I are busy scratching ourselves constantly because the bed makes us itch. And don't even think about wearing dark colored clothes to sit or lie on the bed. You will get white lint all over your clothes. Finally - the internet connection keeps dropping out. This was a pain when we were looking up info such as bus routes or places to eat and keep having to reconnect. Další informace

We were four people sharing a room 2 adults 2 children 12 & 14 for one night .So for the price in Paris this was great Hotel . Was 5 min walk from the metro be we knew this . Staff couldn't have been more helpfull giving us direction to where we wanted to go. Room was tight for space with a double bed and two single be was fine . Enjoyed our stay

We picked this hotel for a 4-day stay during late August to attend a family wedding in the 6th district. It offers a quiet convenient location with 3.5 star comforts for guests of any age. There is a mini grocery store one short block away to buy fresh croissants and juices etc if one does not care to pay for expensive breakfasts. Metro is two blocks […] down. We are in Paris where we want to try the wine and cheese. So since the Hotel didn't have the wine I want it to try or the cheese I went ahead and purchase elsewhere. So to open the wine I was charge 5 euros which I don't think that was fair at all. Plus all the crew was looking with anger. The room has a very bad smell, the comfprters where dirty and the rooms were very small.

We stayed in this hotel for 5 days and we just say it was a great stay. The staff was very helpful, the room was spacious and comfortable, the maid service was excellent. My kids really enjoyed it, even the breakfast was very good because it catered also for the little ones. Thanks again and I would recommend this hotel for everyone.

Stayed here for 2 nights with my wife and 14 year old daughter in July. Hotel is clean, comfortable and the staff are very helpful. Not the best location in Paris - it's 10-15 mins to the nearest Metro - you can't really walk to any of the main attractions. (Get a metro to the centre and then get the Batobus down the Seine.) This is just your average chain hotel. Decent rooms, although small. Fairly clean and in good condition. A bit of a walk to the Metro but Gare Montparnasse directly across the street. Food in the restaurant was very good. Better than most Paris restaurants we ate at.

We took the Paris Metro to Gare Montparnase station and had a hard time finding the hotel. I think because GM has multiple exits and it is huge and confusing for the 1st timer in Paris. Later we used Pasteur station from line 6 and it was a easy few minutes walk. Besides that we had a good time during the stay. Staff was good and helpful. Excellent location, clean, friendly reception.

clean, modern nice , location a little out of the way, but walkable to the Eiffel tower 20 minutes or so Staff was acommdating and had given us a lot of good information about the area when checking in. We loved the in room free wifi, to keep in touch with friends , and family.

This hotel was fair. It is pricy for the quality hotel, certainly not 4 stars as was published. I would neither recommend or not recommend the hotel. I will not stay here again myself.

Great hotel - very clean & our room/corridor was unbelievably quiet. Friendly & helpful staff. Twin room was a large double + sofa bed, but this was very comfortable. Lovely modern bathroom. Hotel within a few minutes walk of station, metro & Air France airport shuttle bus stop. It would have been nice to have had clear directions of how to find the […] hotel from the station, but we just asked & had no problems finding it. Didnt try the breakfast as this was expensive - nice cocktails in the bar though! Would definitely consider staying here again. If you land at rush hour, as we did, it could take around 2 hours on airport bus to get to your hotel - next time I would probably get the train then Metro. Also, if going to Versailles, it is definitely worth buying your entry tickets before hand - I believe you can do that in Virgin stores in Paris, or in some of the shops near Versailles station. From Eurostar stop, one line in 20 mins, you arrive at Gare Montparnasse station. Hotel is about 20 mins walk from the station. Hotel is clean and modern. Very much 'business hotel' feel.. and typical hotel chain (know how to tick the right box to be 4 stars but something about it feels cheap). While it seemed that this hotel catered mainly to business travellers, we found it to be a great place to stay on a short vacation to Paris. The buffet breakfast was included and the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The locaiton was relatively close to most attractions however, if you are not walker, there is a metro station nearby. The room […] was quite comfortable and the modern decor was lovely. tye hotel is really good and the location is fantastic !
