surroundings are not the best

This hotel is a good looking hotel right in front of the water. I booked it passing through because in description is says 4 miles from airport. WRONG. Even having the front desk get me a cab it was 45 Euros which is a complete rip off. Actually about 10 miles. The hotel itself looks very classy. Staff was pleasant. They charge 5 Euros for internet, […] funny. The beds are COMPLETELY uncomfortable. Each mattress is about 5 inches thick and is just pure hard. Spent one night at Aran Blu waiting for flight back to USA. Hotel is very modern styling. Staff is very helpful and personal. Room was quite small (2 twins). Beds were hard, linens crisp and clean. Bathroom was modern with new appliances. Nice shower. Weird window coverings...wide plastic sheets but worked. The bad news: carpets were very dirty. Ours […] even had spots of blood. Yuk. Car service to airport excellent at E35. Worth it. Complicated route into hotel. Ate in the room, so no info on the neighborhood. Arrived after dark so did not wander. The Aran Blu is a wonderful hotel located on the Mediterranean Sea in Ostia just a few miles outside of Rome’s Fiumicino Airport. The hotel is very clean, the staff is courteous and helpful and the neighborhood is both beautiful and safe. The complimentary breakfast is exceptional with lots of variety. There is a nice wide walkway that follows along the shore for miles. The harbor is within 500ft of the hotel and has shops and restaurants that give the community a nice seaside atmosphere. We highly recommend the Aran Blu and anytime we leave out of Fiumicino Airport from now on we will definitely spend our last night in Italy in this hotel. Since most flights are early morning and you never know how the traffic situation is going to be, we find that saving that extra day and enjoying the seaside helps to alleviate all of the anxiety associated with the trip back home. On an earlier trip it cost about 70 euros to get to the airport from Rome by taxi. Since we had a 10:00am flight, we had to be ready and in a taxi by 6:00am to ensure our getting to the airport and through customs. There was lots of anxiety that started the night before leaving and took a little away from our final night in Italy. Since it only cost 28 euros to get to the airport from the Aran Blu Hotel by taxi (about 15 minutes), our final day on this last trip was both leisurely and stress free. You’re probably wondering how much it cost to get to the Aran Blu from Rome? It’s easy, you can do it with a one day Metro Pass for just a few euro but you have to know how. In fact most people buy multi day passes and still have a day or two left when they leave, and if that’s the case, it cost nothing to get from Rome to the hotel. Here’s how: 1. I had a short layover to change planes and did not want to go into Rome and back. The hotel was clean, staff were friendly and it was refreshing to get the ocean breeze. Aran Blu is located directly across a quiet street from the ocean and the oceanfront rooms all have balconies where you can sit and watch the procession of people out for an evening stroll. The rooms are stylish and spare. The only slight discomfort was rather hard bed pillows. Both interior walls of the bathroom are heavy, opaque glass. This Hotel is a very basic hotel with few amenities. Although it's positive is it's location to the beach it lacks many features. The restaurant has a very limited menu as well as the hours of service are also limited. It is close to the Airport but I would not recommend it since it's service was limited.

This hotel is fairly new and has made a decent effort to capture the interests of travelers seeking a modern beachfront escape. The hotel was quiet and comfortable but make sure you get a beachfront view. The stay included a continental breakfast which was a nice way to start the day. There's also a rooftop restaurant/lounge that has a lot of potential […] but has a little ways to go. The food wasn't bad but the service was a little erratic. I chose the hotel primarily for it's proximity to FCO but we still ended up paying a decent amount to take a cab 4 miles to the airport. It looked nice on the web page but after having stayed in numerous accommodations over an 18 day trip to Italy, it was dissapointing that our last hotel was my least favorite. The WORST bed / pillow, AC that hardly worked, windows that opened up to an apartment complex (howdy neighbor; I love hearing your dog bark all night and I'd shut my noise blocking […] window - but the AC doesn't work!) and, upon check out, a desk clerk who was indifferent / aloof to all of my questions. On a positive note, the shower was amazing and the roof top view was beautiful!! I personally won't stay here again - but I'm sure it will suit others just fine. Další informace

Recomendable. Excelente relación costo-calidad. Buena ubicación frente al mar. Deben contemplar mayor promoción o señalización para llegar de manera más directa al Hotel.

All'inizio mi hanno dato la camera 108 posizionata accanto alla porta di ingresso del piano, questa porta ogni volta che si chiude fa troppo casino e si saltava in aria non facendo dormire, su mia richiesta mi hanno spostato di camera e poi tutto ok. Ottima struttura e personale gentilissimo.

Bra hotell med bra läge, Enklare frukost men ok. dock tog man 6 Euro för att beställa taxi till flygplatsen.

Lekre rom, moderne og fine men området rundt hotellet var ikke noe å skryte av. Jeg skulle bruke det som et alternativ til vanlig flyplass hotel, men jeg velger heller å bo "på flyplassen" neste gang.

Das Hotel ist gepflegt und hat zuvorkommendes Personal. Das Frühstückbuffet ist ausbaufähig: Wenig Auswahl, viel Abgepacktes. Wenn das Hotel voll ist, hat es zu wenig Sitzplätze Frühstücksraum. Das Hotel trennt nur eine Quartierstrasse vom öffentlichen Strand. Dieser ist leider gar nicht gepflegt. Überall liegen Zigarettenkippen im Sand. Im Wasser […] schwimmen Damenbinden und Kondome. Zudem hat es im Wasser grosse gefährliche, spitzige Steine, die den Badespass sehr einschränken. This hotel at the website makes you think it´s perfect! In real life it´s very far from it! The hotel is much smaller when you see it, the room was very tiny. It does NOT correspond with the description on the net. The beach does NOT look anything like the one you see in the pictures. Dark dirty sand. A lot of big sharp stones under the water close […] to the shore. Some of them so big you can hurt your self impossible to see in the mudy water. Very disappoiting. The neighbourhood looks very shabby, the whole area seems quite dilapedated. No shuttelbus or any connection from the airport which is only 6,5 km away. The taxidrivers at the airport want to rip you of charging 60 euro to this place. The receptiondesk not very firendly (for a 4-star hotel you do expect a little more) We agreed on one price and when we were to check out the price was suddenly much higher!!? There were two elevators, one was completely shut down and the other was working from time to time. We had to carry the baby and the trolley up and down the stairs. Breakfast was included and a dissapointment as well. Poor selection of food and poor service. The waiters forgot to bring cutlery,we had to wait a long time for ordered coffee or just hot water for the baby. The Marina close to the hotel was on the other hand fantastic! Lovely boardwalk. All'arrivo tutto bene, tranne un dettaglio: l'impiegato ci lascia da soli per fare le fotocopie dei documenti e una sua collega invece di attendere con noi si sposta fuori una porta di servizio, in bella vista, a fumare una sigaretta. Comunque mi aspettavo più cordialità da un 4 stelle, soprattutto più attenzione ai dettagli. In definitiva un bel posto, […] ma non tutto il personale è all'altezza delle pretese di questo 4 stelle. Fint hotel med frukost över förväntan. Bra rum med sköna sängar och fräscha badrum. Läget på stranden är perfekt om man som vi söker bad och sol. Ca. 45 min med taxi till Rom längre än vi trodde, men allt vi sökte restauranger, barer och dans fanns på den superlånga strandpromenaden.

Ett mycket trevligt hotel som var utmärkt att att bo på om man vill besöka Rom på sommaren. Då har man möjlighet att bada samtidigt som det var smidigt att åka in till Rom stad kommunalt med pendeltåg. Bättre frukost kunde man önska sig.
