Very friendly and helpful staff. Great breakfasts. Good location - easy walking distance to most tourist locations and close to the termini if you wanted to use public transport. Slightly overpowering decor, but very comfy and clean. Hope I will be going back!

Lovely friendly small hotel with helpful, approachable staff. We enjoyed the breakfast with everything a continental breakfast should be plus scrambled and boiled eggs and fresh coffee and toast. The hotel didn't charge for the safe in the room which was unusual and tea/coffee was always available free of charge. We came in from airport so 40 Euro taxi, but left by train a nine minute easy walk to Termini, past some great restaurants and clothing shops. In the same street, Via Urbana, there are workshops ranging from jewellery to mechanics, its the nature of the craftsmen in the area, dont forget the great chocolate shop either. Room comfortable, all front desk staff we met spoke great English and were tolerent of our non existent Italian. The rooms all decorated just like in the brochure/online which was good, padded walls, matching decor, reasonable bathroom, incredible heating, (great for first weeks of January)and we could vary /turn the radiators off if required. Shower in bath a bit awkward but then they usually are. Toiletries good, and fluffy slippers in the room with Hotel Raffaello label. Better than the other three star hotels we stayed at in Italy (Florence, Venice). Good breakfast offering including hot scrambled eggs, full continental meat selection and some cereals. Good location, easy access from the Termini station. The clerks are very kind. Free internet/breakfast. You can leave your luggage after check out if you want. I strongly recommend to stay here.

The location was great and the staff very helpful and friendly. We stayed there on two occasions during our vacation. The first room was very comfortable and the second was quite cozy. Thankfully, it was only for one night. The breakfast was excellent and the location was very convenient. October 2011

I selected this hotel due to its proximity to the train station. We didn't realize when taking the train from the airport to the main station that the airport train stops at the very southern end of the station and the hotel is at the very northern end and off by 5-7 blocks. We stayed here for a 3-day short Autumn break. The Raffaello is located just off the Via Cavour on a pleasant, quiet side street. There are plenty of good restaurants - frequented by the locals - within 10 minutes walk. The Hotel staff were welcoming and the rooms stylishly decorated. The only negative for us was the VERY firm bed and excruciatingly […] solid pillows; but then, we always seem to find this in Italy! The breakfast - served on the mezzanine - was very good with a wide selection of fruits, meats, cheeses, croissants and pastries, plus juices and jugs of great coffee. The Raffaello is an excellent hotel choice; reasonably priced and all the key sites of the ancient city can be walked to within a few minutes. Cavour Metro station is also a few minutes away, which will take you to the further away places like the Vatican. We would definitely stay here again, when in Rome - but would pack our own pillows! Good location ten minutes walk from station, in a quiet area. Many artisan art and craft businesses and restaurants on Via Urbana or nearby. Breakfast was excellent. Nice touch was help yourself to coffee and tea in the lounge. The only downside was I could find no English channels on the room tv.

We returned to Raffaello after a delightful stay three years ago. This September visit was at a busier time, so we were in a smaller room, but it was still very nice. The hotel is in easy walking distance (eight blocks or less) to the Colosseum and Termini Station, ideal for a visit. Metro access is about three blocks. Good restaurants are within a […] block. This was on a quiet street just behind a main street in the center of Rome. I had just one night, but the stay was great and the room was a bit worn but clean and comfortable. The staff were kind and professional, and the breakfast (free!) was tasty and generous. I would absolutely stay here again.

What a little stunner. This hotel was marvellous. The people who run it should be running the country. They were efficient, courteous and considerate. We arrived in the morning after a 32 hour journey, long before check-in, wondering how we would freshen up for a day of sightseeing. We were immediately shown to an area were we could relax, and refresh […] before setting out. We reported a minor fault in our air conditioner (it dripped a bit) and a technician repaired in the next morning. The rooms and bathrooms were spotless and beatifully appointed and the breakfast was very good. Hotel was reasonably nice, good general repair. Refrigerator in room didn't work but that is not so unusual. Breakfast was above average but not great, breakfast service staff was very good. Hotel was immaculate. Didn't know what to expect because of previous hotel room in Rome. This was a back-up and it delivered. Breakfast was free and pretty good if you got there early when the eggs were fresh. Unlimited wi-fi for the duration of your stay for twenty-five euro. We stayed in Hotel Raffaello and would defintely recommend onto others! It's a 5 min walk from the Colosseum/Arch of Constantine/Palatine Hill. Taxie drivers did not know this hotel so after the first time having to get out reservation, we picked up business cards to give to the drivers. It is down a small street but the front desk had taxis in 1 minute. My husband laughed and said yeah sure one minute but it was less than one minute. One driver charged 25 euros from the Vatican to this hotel. […] Ridiculous. He then took my 20 euros and as I turned to get 5 euros from my husband he then had a 5 euro in his hand and not the 20 I gave him. This is good for a three star hotel, reasonable price and good location in central Rome, close to the train station. The area is not that interesting, but has a 15 minute walk to everything you want to see.

I really loved the Hotel Raffaello, the location was very convenient especially for the price. The front desk staff wasw exceptional, especially with tracking down my friend's lost luggage - the followed up with the airlines daily. the breakfast was great. For reference, there was a small grocery in almost any direction within 2 blocks, and a phone/internet […] place down the street (cheap calls anywhere for those w/o international phones, SIM cards, etc.). My only complaint at all is with regards to the shower. I am a plus size lady but not enormous, and I had to squeeze through the shower door. The shower was one of the really complicated conoles with a bunch of different spray options (I think even a full body one). The big problem is the console took up almost half the shower. I accidentally turned off the water twice with my belly (and that's not the biggest part of me!), there wasn't room to turn around in the shower. It was a bit ridicoulous. Další informace

Upon arrival in Rome, I was a bit suspicious about staying at Hotel Raffaello for the simple reason that it is adjacent to the police station and seemed to be in an out of the way location. The front desk manager was very helpful, though, and within moments my family was off on our walking adverture and found that there is lots to see and do in the […] immediate area. The property is situated close to the church of San Pietro (which is also the closest tour bus stop), the train station, and walking distance to the Colosseum and Roman Forum. In addition to the location, I would recommend the Hotel Raffaello as a great value hotel. Our family enjoyed a two bedroom suite for a very reasonable rate. The rooms were small, but comfortable and well appointed. The bathroom was also small (and if you are on the heavy side, the shower stall is gonna be a nightmare for you!), but the amenities basket was plentiful and continually refreshed by the housekeepers. But the best thing about the Hotel Raffaello? Breakfast, which is included in your room rate. The breakfast spread is just fabulous. Powdered donuts, croissant (plain, sugared or chocolate!), muffins, eggs (hard boiled and scrambled), yogurt, fruit, juices, and the best coffee in the world. Seriously, the coffee was unbelievable. And hot cocoa for the kids. Of all the things I miss about the Hotel Raffaello, I think I miss the breakfasts most of all. If you are used to staying at the Four Seasons, this is not the hotel for you. But if you are looking for a clean, family-friendly, convenient place to stay in Roms, Hotel Raffaello is the place for you! Oh, and if you stay at the Hotel Raffaello, definitely walk up the alley adjacent to the hotel and have dinner at L'Esquilino Bar. Good food, nice wine list, and lovely wait staff. Great hotel ,was even better then I expected as the rooms were lovely, breakfast was great, staff friendly and location was great for getting around, would recommend it as a lovely place to stay whilst in Rome. Last minute find the...great deal. I've stayed at a lot of hotels in Italy, and this one stood out as a true value. Not too frilly and expensive, but clean, excellent service, walking distance to train station, and friendly staff. The breakfast was a nice way to start my day.

Hotel was clean, cozy and comfortable. Breakfast every morning was fantastic and one morning they opened early just to allow us time to eat and meet our tour group on time. Internet was cheap - I think $5.00 for 2 hrs. Good location with sidewalk cafes everywhere and also close to Termini station. The Hotel Raffaello is really a four star hotel in a three star location. The staff, amenities, breakfast and the room were uniformly excellent, surpassing our expectations for a three star rated hotel. The location is pretty good, rather than outstanding. Hospitality from the start - Seeing how tired I was on arrival, I was offered a comfortable seat in the lobby while my room was prepared for unannounced early check-in. Thirty-five minutes later (sooner than the promised 40 minutes), I was gently awakened and welcomed to my room where my bags were already waiting. Ample breakfast included a fresh pot […] of coffee and steamed milk, along with eggs (boiled or scrambled), rolls, pasteries, cold cuts, cheese, fruit, cereal, and yogurt. A well-behaved boy at the next table got chocolates as an extra treat. An automatic espresso machine in the lower lobby provided a quick pick-me-up or an evening ending decaf. The desk staff were attentive and helpful, patiently indulging my childish Italian when it might have been faster to use their much better English. They were helpful with sightseeing and transit suggestions. Their efficient computer system enabled them to silently summon a taxi - which arrived in less than the promised 4 minutes. The location was far enough from the train station for safety and a more pleasant atmosphere. Being off the main street protected the hotel from noise. From the hotel, I walked through ancient Rome, returning by Metro from the Collosseum. My single room was European sized, but well furnished. The fabric wall coverings lent luxury to the setting. The shower-jacuzzi jets added fun and relaxation after walking in the 95+F heat. Overall, for me, Hotel Raffaello lived up to it's better reviews, and I certainly enjoyed my stay. Další informace
