EL OUMNIA PUERTO – Tangier

El Oumnia Puerto was clean and well-maintained. The staff were very civil. Not all of the desk staff speak English -- they do speak both French and Spanish (in addition, of course, to Arabic). Please also note […] that I was not looking for concierge services -- just a place to spend the night before taking the train to Fez. I don't believe I saw any tourist information of any kind at the hotel -- but that is often the case even at more expensive hotels in Morocco (in my admitedly somewhat limited experience). The location is fine -- you are short taxi rides to either the Tangier Ville port or the train station. I took a long stroll from the hotel through the downtown area. As a single female traveller, I felt very comfortable. I found the breakfast to be excellent (it was included in my booking). I had a drink at the hotel bar and found that experience to be perfectly fine. The swimming pool looked nice, but it was too cold for swimming when I was there. The neighborhood has restaurants, cafes, banks, small markets, pharmacies, etc. You are within walking distance (maybe 20-25 minutes) of the Medina. Další informace
