"Ugly but clean."
Bathtub too small. Decorating seriously outdated or just bad. Suite was supposed to have luxury linens. I guess that was supposed to be the bed because the towels were very thin regardless of how hokey they were folded. Sheets and mattress pad didn't fit and slipped off the corner during the night. The two televisions although they were flat screen, […] the picture was grainey. Upon arrival there were two conditioners and no shampoo and on the second day they had not been replaced. Breakfast had very bad coffee and real eggs as opposed to powdered would have been nice. The room was clean and the staff very nice. Everything was great including the price. Of course there were some minor things like the clorine/pool smell as you enter the lobby and cricket in our bathroom. But in all it was great. Somethings such as crickets will come and go due to the season or weather conditions. But I can tell that the hotel seeks comfort and joy for its guests. Parts of the hotel are a bid dated and need paint. The walls of our shower need a good scrubbing, bathroom floors could use a good bleaching. When I opened the curtains after we arrived, there was a Gazebo right outside our window seriously about 4 feet away and if any of the guests would have been sitting there, we would have met eye to eye. Not very […] good if you are looking for privacy. Our du'vet smelled like men's cologne and that was a good indication to me that it wasn't washed before we used it (my husband does not wear cologne). "Stay here rather than the casino hotels in Shreveport"
Fantastic hotel! Friendly people, very good Continental breakfast, quiet area, and the room was better than I hoped for. We had the King suite and it was so great that the wife and I decided to buy another night rather than try to stay in Shreveport at the casino hotel. Two TVs in the room allowed us to watch our specifics, clean and plentiful towels, […] no musty odors. The pool and spa were a treat and just right. Breakfast was something for everyone. I am here to say that next time I go to Shreveport, I will stay here and drive the short distance. I can't believe this hotel isn't rated higher.
