Location.
Pantages Hotel Toronto Centre, is positioned across from Massey Hall and one block from the Eaton Centre and dynamic Yonge Street in Toronto, Canada. This elegant boutique lodging opened its doors in 2005. The Art Gallery of Ontario and Metro Toronto Convention Centre lie less than two kilometers from the property. A subway stop is located one block from the hotel, and public transportation allows passes for transfers between many of the subway lines, streetcars and buses.
Hotel Features.
The chic, marble-clad lobby with leather chairs, fireplace and martini bar reflects subtle earth tones, subdued lighting and flowing water panels. The ambience continues in the 836-square-meter Shizen Spa at Pantages, a tranquil, aroma-infused haven that features large manicure and pedicure areas, and a complimentary Aqua Bar with 80 varieties of water. Laser hair removal, Botox, Vichy showers and photo rejuvenation treatments are examples of the high standard of health and beauty amenities administered in 13 treatment rooms. The spa's 24-hour, glass-walled fitness center is staffed by a personal trainer and offers cardiovascular machines with individual flat-screen televisions, a steam room, sauna and spa tub. Fran's, located on site, is open 24 hours a day, and specializes in home-style comfort foods.
Guestrooms.
This hotel features 92 suites. All units have European-style kitchens, washers and dryers. Bedding includes 400-thread-count sheets with down duvets and pillows. A different semi-precious stone is placed on pillows each night. Select rooms feature hardwood floors while other accommodations are carpeted. All guestrooms have CD players and flat-screen televisions. Additional amenities include walk-in closets and full-length mirrors.

Shizen Spa - This tranquil Zen getaway pampers guests with comprehensive spa services and amenities designed to indulge the five senses, such as the glass-enclosed Solarium, with Japanese Shoji windows, spa tub, and warm Brazilian walnut floors; an elite hair salon; large manicure and pedicure areas; and hydrotherapy treatments that include a unique spa jet with 40 different settings. Fragrant body polishes as well as Shiatsu, reflexology, aromatherapy, hot-stone massage, multiple body treatments, and custom-designed packages to meet guests personal needs are also offered.
Fran's - Retro-style diner that opens onto the lobby. Emphasis on home-style comfort foods. Salads, sandwiches, and Continental cuisine. Open 24 hours.
Martini Bar - Located in the lobby. Small bar with marble top lit from below. Signature martinis and other cocktails. Open early evening to late evening.
Room service - Available 5 PM-11 PM Sunday to Thursday, and 5 PM-1 AM Friday and Saturday (subject to change).
This downtown Toronto hotel's complimentary 24-hour fitness center contains cardio machines with individual flat-screen TVs, free weights, and exercise balls. The saunas, steam rooms, and spa tubs in the Shizen Spa at Pantages are available for a surcharge or complimentary for hotel guests receiving a spa treatment.
Bally's GoodLife, one block away on Yonge Street, offers an indoor pool and aerobics (surcharges). Winter brings ice skating at Nathan Phillips Square at City Hall, four blocks west of the hotel. "Great except for uncomfortable Beds"
I liked the hotel alot. I loved the location and the fridge etc in the room, The martini bar was cool and everyone was friendly but the bed was one of the most uncomfortable beds i've slept in. The second day we requested different pillows and that helped but it was still a very hard bed. "Close proximity to downtown sights"
The hotel has the feel of condo living. Great location and very quiet.

Very good. Staff, room, location, cleanliness all consistently good.

The Pantages has everything you need when you're travelling. I was taking transit so the lack of surface parking downtown could be an issue if you're driving around. The hotel is really close to lots of shopping, and the subway/streetcars are all easily accessed. "Decent hotel at a great location."
* Pillows were too firm. I couldn't sleep all night. * Sick and tired of hotels charging me for internet. If you don't charge me extra for electricity / water / AC, then don't charge me extra for internet. * Great location. Generally comfortable. Above a 24 hour diner. Posh. * Fantastic gym. "comfort"
the biggest down side to our entire visit was the bed. I expect that when staying at a top end hotel, that their beds be the same...top end. They had a bed that i would compare to a $50.00 a night motel. They should ask the Sheridan chain where to get thier matresses.

"Great boutique hotel"
Really good value for the money. A full kitchen with supplies, 2 queen size beds. Very quiet good neighborhood.
"Pantages just misses luxury status"
Great location, and the interior is fairly modern; But cleanliness was not perfect, and the hotel was very noisy with no attempt by the hotel front desk to control unruly neighbors to our room on our floor. If I'm going to pay for downtown Toronto luxury with modern contemporary decor, I expect a little more. Will go somewhere else next time.

Didn't appreciate the large blood or lipstick smear on the side of the counter in our bathroom. The bed was quite comfortable but we were not fans of the pricey valet parking.

Great hotel. Good quality for your $. In the heart of the city, close to the Eaton Center and the Theatre District. In fact, its quite close to everything tourists want to see. Furthermore, its quiet enough for you to be able to sleep at night. I go to Toronto regularly and have finally found a hotel I really like. Will be back often.

Really didnt know what to expect but have to say was MORE than plesently surprised. Decor, rooms and customer services was EXCELLENT, in fact probably the best hotel I was in on my 5 hotel stay of Nort America.

The difficulty of getting to and from the hotel and the Pearson airport was noteworthy. This caused us problems both arriving and leaving, affecting our planning and ability to be at activities arranged. This is really a Toronto problem, not so much a hotel problem from what I can determine. Space was limited in the hotel but, not so much to affect […] anything. I would like there to have been an area where one could wait when waiting for a room to be ready, and wait after checkout that is more suitable for reading or working at a computer. "Condo style Pantages"
Excellent rooms. Very comfortable bed and nice kitchen area. Definitely reminded me of a bachelor pad condo. Will definite stay at the Pantages again.

The rooms were somewhat noisy, the doors need be insulated as the sounds from the hallway is most evident. Loud music on the Saturday night in the early morning hours. Parking and the fact it is valet only is not clearly marked or posted. We followed the Pantages parking "in" signs to get in and find out that we could not access the elevators. We had […] to walk up with our suitcases 3 floors in the underground parking to reach the outside and then proceed to the lobby. We met another woman in the parking with the same problem. The fact we left for the day and both our keys were deactivated and we needed to return to the main desk for new keys was not handy! The staff was not overly friendly. "Pantages Hotel in Toronto"
We stayed at the Pantages Hotel in Toronto. It has a great location. You can walk to Younge Street. There is $15 dollar parking in a basement garage. I parked at a $20 a day street lot and someone broke into my car but luckily didn't steal anything of value. The hotel is really modern. Very cool atmosphere. The door man was really nice. Very comfortable room--I was surprised to find a full kitchen with pots and pans, and dishes for two and a washer/dryer IN THE ROOM! A bar-height table with stools also was wide enough to roll up the bed for breakfast in bed. I could have had a seriously extended stay here. Traveling alone for business, the kitchen turned out to be great--I ate out […] a few times, but also could eat take-out on real plates, and make my own toast in the morning. Great firm bed. Times-Square like location--this is the broadway shows, bustle, tourists, but very close to the subway station Dundas, and easy walk to Queen West or Chinatown/Little Italy. I do have one big complaint. You pay extra for internet in room. And the business center costs $5 just to sit at a computer, then .50c per minute after that! I couldn't believe that they'd have a kitchen and washer/dryer as standard, but for wifi I had to pay an extra $30 for my 2-day stay! pretty cheap for such a swank place. The hotel and staff make our stay when we are in Toronto. It's our second home.
"Pantages in Toronto--an oasis of charm"
All the staff we encountered in our one night's stay were helpful and friendly. We were a little cautious about how good a sleep we would have being across from a major hospital in downtown Toronto but to our surprise, not a sound was heard from within our walls--and it was a Saturday night!

On my arrival the original room I had booked was located directly behind the elevator also the refrigerator had mold growing in it. I took the complaints to the front desk and they gladly upgraded my room to a full suite (stove, microwave, freezer / fridge and sink) for no extra charge. My 5 day stay was quiet, comfortable and convenient.

Very well situated hotel next to Massey Hall and the Eaton Centre. We had a corner room with lots of windows - some that opened but it is a very noisy area, even at night. Love that there is no carpets on the floor. Bed was very comfortable. Room was spotless. We will definitely stay there again. Highly recommended.

The staff were great!! Very personable and polite. The location couldn't have been better. We were attending a concert at Massey Hall and we could see the building from the window in our room. The location is superb, are are the lobby, the front desk and overall service. However the rooms are tired--almost shabby and the hallways are very dark. The hotel needs a facelift.

Great service and very clean hotel. Room was very large, clean and bright. Bed was very comfortable as were the pillows. Our room temperature was a little on the cool side, but we didn't complain, just made good use of the nice thick duvet. We stayed here because we were going to a show at Massey Hall, and it's right across the street, so perfect for […] a show. There is a lobby bar which unfortunately was closed for a "private" party so cannot comment.
