"Generally comfortable but..."
I stayed with my partner and we were reasonably content with room comfort and cleanliness (a bit cramped) but there were a couple of significant negative issues. Apparently for security reasons the inside door from the car park to the hotel lobby was not available for use at night when we arrived. Accordingly, my partner and I had to run through heavy […] rain with our luggage from the car park into the hotel lobby...this is not acceptable. Also, items advertised as available on the 'after 9.00 pm menu (a wine after a long and late flight for instance) were not in stock or available. This is also shabby considering the price of the room. I should also add that the breakfast staff 'rushed us' to complete our breakfast after checking in late the previous evening. Room was small. Toilet was broken. Only a skylight at the window opening for natural light. My daughter had a dustmite allergy from the carpets which usually means they are not steam cleaned. Nice looking hotel in the middle to Perth's Chinatown, and walking distance to the nearest CAT city shuttle bus that brings you to around town. Chinatown has become a hot spot for unique breakfast cafes, you'll never be short of coffee choices. Interior is simple and a little dull with lightings, but generally comfortable and clean. Its only two levels […] high so there aren't many rooms. Rooms are not quite sound proof as get distrubted by people getting in and out of the corridor. Being only 2 levels high also means you can hear what's happening on the ground, the noise not loud but enough to wake you from sleep. There is no gym in the hotel, which is quite disappointing for people looking to work out at night. But there is an oval near by if you like to go for a morning run. This was my biggest gripe. Also large function on downstairs, we were on 1st floor near the stores, and it was pretty dam noises until all hours. Needs better soundproofing in rooms. "Great apart from no window in the room"
The hotel is only a few years old and is very convenient for Northbridge with lots of restaurants nearby.
