Handly location just off the main tramlined shopping street. Easy walking to seafront, old town and SNCF rail station...a longer walk makes visiting archaeology museum definitely do-able (ask in reception for the best route). I even walked to the airport which took about 1 hour 30 mins excluding stops along for swims. A major factor for me is the quality of the service and the helpfulness of the staff. I have to say that the staff is extremely friendly, attentive and helpful. The building is historical and in need of perhaps a bit of updating. The rooms were adequate, clean and comfortable. Internet was FREE and available for all of our technology. The room sizes […] were bigger than we had in Paris. The balcony's were a nice added feature. The beds were not as comfortable as i would have liked and the decor was not to my taste. The elevator was extremely small. There was a lot of construction during our stay and that made it quite noisy but we spent most of the day away from the hotel so it was not a big issue. The price was reasonable.for what we received and the location was convenient to the local trains and busses as well as the Train station. There was lots of shopping, near the hotel. Overall, the stay at this hotel was not bad. It was very central and allowed for easy walking to many of the attractions. Parking was limited, but the hotel allowed me to park my car in the loading area for the 2 nights that I was there. The item that bothered me was the servicing of the room. I was only staying 2 nights and I did not want anyone entering […] the room while I was out and about. In addition, I did not think my room required cleaning on a daily basis. I placed the 'do not disturb' sign on the door before leaving. Upon return, I found that the sign was hanging inside the door and the room was madeup. I have nothing against the cleaning staff doing their job. However, they should respect the sign placed on the door to not enter and service the room. "Ideal for a short break"
Very helpful and friendly reception staff. Rooms adequate and comfortable, nice clean bathroom. An ideal position for exploring the city or just ambling down to the sea. Unfortunately the Nicoise are colder blooded than we Brits , hence the air conditioning was still on 'hot' which meant leaving the windows open at night! but definitely easy to recommend […] for a short visit. It was difficult to find our hotel in the maze of Nice. Once there, the check-in was quick and the hotel was typical European. Their elevator was scary and the room was small, as expected.
