Velmi pohodlný hotel za slušnou cenu v porovnání s cenami ve Švédsku. Je sice mimo centtrum, ale 100m od autobusové zastávky, MHD je levná a má hustou síť. Ať jedete jakkoliv do 30min jste v centru.Pokud jedete autem, parkování je před hotelem.Velmi dobré zázemí pro sportovce - lodě, kola, lezecká stěna, fitness. Pokoje čisté, prostorné, jídlo kvalitní, ne takový výběr jako např. v německých hotelech. Doporučuji.
Location.
The modern First Hotel Amaranten is located in central Stockholm, Sweden, within 600 metres of the Stadshuset nightclubs. The Royal Palace, Old Town and National Museum are all within one kilometre. Stockholm's central station is 700 metres away.

The First Hotel Amaranten's lobby is decorated in polished granite and walnut, with Persian rugs. The lounge area features silver wallpaper with floral patterns and hosts exhibitions of painting and photography. Serves a selection of wines, beers, spirits and cocktails and offers a bar menu of light dishes such as Toast with Swedish Crayfish and Potato Tortilla with Chorizo. Open daily until late.
Breakfast Room -Large, bright dining area hosting photographic exhibitions. Serves hot and cold breakfast buffets every morning, including meat, cheese, pickled herring, cereal and fresh fruit, with a Japanese breakfast buffet during summer.
The nearest golf course is within 20 kilometres of the hotel. The Kungsträdgården park on Norrmalm, one kilometre away, offers opportunities for outdoor ice skating during the winter months. Cyclists will find an abundance of cycle paths threading through the city, and joggers can follow Kungsholmen's canal-side paths.

"Poor Condition"
The entrance to the hotel is deceptive as all looks well. However, on stepping out of the elevator and walking down the hallway to my room the first thing I noticed were walls. Chipped and marked, paint missing the entire way along all the walls shows that maintenance is obviously not a priority. I booked a "Superior Double" room which barely had enough […] room for the bed. The bathroom smelled, clearly coming from the drain. There was a mini bar stocked with the bar minimum of a few soft drinks, but the inside was sticky where something must have spilled and not been cleaned up. "Old run down hotel"
If you are lucky you get a room on the floor that has been fixed up. But chances are that you get a room on one of the flors that sets you back to David Lynch's Twin peaks. Dark an pretty scary hallways..... Book this place for Haloween.

pro: - good selection of international TV channels - good location - nice staff and atmosphere - clean cons: - pool is really cold - breakfast buffet is very diverse, but very cheap foods and the scrambled egg is disgusting, don't expect too much
"Nice hotel-good breakfast"
Stayed here for 2 nights while sightseeing. Not a badfd location, bit of a walk to some areas. Hotel is impressive, good sized rooms. Sadly we had no air conditioning and opening windows meant it was very noisy. Breakfast is impressive and extensive and overall is a nice hotel.

Was a nice Hotel quiet and Clean. Me and my son (7) Enjoy our stay there.

the rooms are so small and you can not breath during the summer time, there is no fridge in the rooms, no air condition and nothing to make hot water for tea or cofee. the location is perfect and if you dont care the quality of the hotel it can be a good option. very easy access to the town, city center and train.

"Great hotel, excellent location"
Great hotel in a good location. Walking distance from Kungsgatan, leading into the city centre (5-10 minutes) so very conveniently located. Friendly neighbourhood with small intimate restaurants with very good food, bars and shops. The hotel has a fantastic breakfast buffet - highly recommended! Nice leisure facilities as well. Very friendly receptionists […] who couldn't be more helpful. The only downside is that the rooms are on the small side, so make sure you ask for a 'big' room. Další informace
The Hotel lobby was nice, the service at the bar was great, but the room was the smallest room I have ever stayed in. It was as though we were on a cruise. We actually checked out eary even though we prepaid for our room.

Overall, the hotel was fine with a great location to the central bus terminal. The room was very small by American standards and the bathroom was even worse in terms of size. The only other issue was that the front desk staff did not have a good system for taking the next customer in line and people were contstantly skipping ahead - very rude. "Great location in Stockholm; rooms are quite small"
I've stayed in European hotels before, but this one was the smallest and most cramped. "Queen" size bed is barely usable for two (male-female) adults with bed against wall and there's no room to place luggage. We would have been happy to pay some more for a larger room...maybe square footage of the rooms should be on booking website...location of hotel […] is superb...makes cost of Stockholm Card, which provides unlimited public transportation, a fantastic opportunity and bargain Další informace
"GOOD VALUE and VERY well located."
I arrived with a friend to the Hotel on Wednesday 23rd, with a view to seeing the world famous Midsummer Festival on the Friday coming. Room was clean and comfortable, modernly decorated and well kept. Room linen and towels changed EVERY day. Breakfast is fine, no complaints, there is no a la carte, as the Kitchen closed at the moment, being renovated […] which I can understand, and the food is being brought in off-site. Quality good. Bar is a nice touch, and Bartender is an affable young fellow. Good at his job! If I had one complaint, I got the impression there was a lack of communication between the staff, as queries made were quite often not followed up, or another staff member was not briefed by a colleague going off-duty of 'To Do' errands. Small I know, but attention to detail is important. Get the Arlanda Express Train from Stockholm Airport to the City. EXIT platform, TURN LEFT, and go up stairs to Kungsbron Avenue. Turn Left, walk approx 10 mins across Kungsbron Bridge, and walk up Kungsholmgaten Avenue. On your left is the hotel, with a Lebanese Cafe on your right. Would I go back again? Yes. "Does not do what it says on the tin"
So this hotel has an impressive lobby and looks ultra cool when you enter for the first time, but for people staying in the standard rooms the experience is not so great. The fittings are falling apart, the TV is from 15 years ago, and I accidentally looked at the mattress and wish I hadn't. Although it has a pool it is so small only kids can swim […] in it, but the breakfast buffet was good and the price not outrageous. If only the whole hotel was fitted out to the same standard as the lobby this would be the place to be. Další informace
"Bra läge och godkänd standard"
Helt ok, betygsättning utgår från att man skall kunna förvänta sig en viss grundnivå och där uppfyller de dessa krav. Det är ett svenskt hotell med ok standard och service. Frukostbuffé är dock i det snålast laget och saknar viss finess. Allt för mkt skolmatsal.

"Centralt, men hyggeligt område"
Hotellet ligger godt og centralt - og klods op ad en T-bane station. Sengen var super komfortabel, men værelset i øvrigt var ikke noget særligt. Alt var dog OK på værelset. Én ting gik galt for hotellet: Da jeg ankom spurgte jeg om jeg kunne få lov til at vente med at tjekke ud til kl. 13, hvilket receptionisten straks sagde ikke var noget problem. […] Jeg antager derfor at det er på plads, men kl. 12:30 ringer de fra receptionen og spørger om jeg har tænkt mig at tjekke ud i dag - jeg gør opmærksom på at de jo har givet mig lov til at vente til kl. 13, hvilket de så igen siger er OK. Ca. kl. 12:45 er jeg lige kommet ud af badet og er splitternøgen, "Do not disturb" skiltet hænger på døren. Ikke desto mindre åbner rengøringspersonalet pludselig min dør uden varsel - ingen banken og vente på svar eller noget. På det tidspunkt har jeg altså 2 gange fået bekræftet at sen udcheckning var OK og der hænger et Do not disturb skilt.... Další informace

Er bra fornøyd med det meste, men rommet var for varmt, og gjesten klarer ikke selv å justere ned temperaturen:(

Hade bokat och betalat för superiorrum med separata bäddar - fick standardrum med dubbelsäng! Personalen vänlig och tillmötesgående

Detta är ett riktigt bra hotell som jag oftast väljer när jag bor i Stockholm
"Kanon helg på Amaraten!"
Bodde där en weekend och hade ett queensize rum. Var litet men väldigt mysigt och innehöll alla delar man behöver, nyrenoverat badrum och stor platt-tv! Bra frukost men tyvärr missade vi vofflorna.. Nyrenoverad gym och bad del så det var fräscht! Hel nöjd med våran helg på Amaraten!

Bokade ett litet rum. Rummet har trägolv ch borde ha haft en golvmatta/dörrmatta så att man inte drar in smuts ocg grus. Saknade en liten fåtölj (plats finns) och en "stol" för bagaget (plats finns)
"Smutsigt rum"
När vi kom till hotellet så var det tandkrämsrester kvar på handfatet, avloppet luktade as och var skitigt, det var hårstrån i sängen...ja herregud ... kommer aldrig mer att bo där och kommer aldrig att rekommendera detta hotell till någon annan. Anledningen till att vi inte klagade direkt var för att vi ville ha en mysig weekend utan massa gnabban […] de. Další informace

Bra hotell med fina rum och mycket bekväm säng! Trevlig personal och bra frukostbuffé. Mindre bra var den minimala toaletten med smutsigt duschdraperi.
"Amaranten - inget för den pryde"
Rummet (superior double room) på 7:e våningen (executive floor) var helt okej storleksmässigt och kändes fräscht, även om man kunde önska en mer vaken städpersonal (ex. vid ankomst saknades toalettpapper och det var lite si och så med borttagande av tomflaskor och annat, för oss, uppenbart skräp som vi inte lagt i papperskorgen). Frukostbuffén var […] tyvärr riktigt tråkig. Nästan ingen frukt, bortsett från att det under en av sex dagar fanns clementier och några bitar vattenmelon, och inga bär. Endast billig sylt. Brödet var likaså av billigt slag (frallorna höll SevenEleven-klass). MEN framför allt: Hur i hela Hälsingland tänker man när man som hotellägare väljer att sätta tunna glasdörrar, med breda glipor, in till badrum och toalett??? Även de som driver hotellet utgår ifrån att alla som bokar ett dubbelrum lever i ett förhållande (vilket dock torde vara långt ifrån fallet och således ett galet antagande) borde de väl begripa att man kan vilja hålla vissa badrums- och toalettbestyr en aning privat. Blev besviken på att gym och pool var under renovering. Jag hade inte fått någon information om detta och hade laddat för dessa faciliteter. Minibar skulle funnits på rummet men även detta var en fabel. Lagom standard med slarvigt utförda hantverk. Dock sköna sängar och jag sov bra.

Hade bokat Superiorrum och fick ett litet trångt rum. Smala sängar. Badrummet ej renoverat, 70-talsstandard med stopp i handfatet. Trångt och stökigt vid frukosten. Mycket tog slut och sittplatser saknades. Oengagerad personal i receptionen . Det enda positiva var läget. Kommer inte att välja detta hotell igen

"Måste rustas upp"
Enda bra är den stora lobbyn, trevlig atmosfär där, med bar. Frukosten undermålig, bra ställen har pannkakor till frukost, och även riktigt kaffe. Pool o bastu för smått o lite sjaskigt. Små badrum.
"Week end i Stockholm"
Godt hotell i hyggelige omgivelser. Det eneste negative, parkering i hotellets garasje, for dyrt.

"Ganske sentralt i Stockholm"
Ok hotell med god frokost. T-banestasjon like på hjørnet, samt 10-15 minutters gange til Drotningsgatan gjør at man er nær sentrum. Bassenget på hotellet var bare 4x4 meter... Treningsstudio så greit ut, men brukte det ikke selv. Badekarssluket på rommet luktet en del, ellers har jeg ingenting å klage på. Kan anbefale dette.

Flott hotell, god service kjempebra beliggenhet med 20 meter til tunell banen og 5 minutter gange til sentrum.

Vid incheckning fick vi vänta ganska länge. Det var 2 st i personalen vid disken. Den ena försvann bakom någonstans. Till slut fick den kvarvarande receptionisten hämta henne eftersom köerna växte. Det var då 12-15 st i köerna. Inte acceptabelt.

"Forretningshotell i sentrum"
Mye folk, små rom og trangt om plassen til frokost. Veldig effektivt.
