The hotel is dated and will need some serious renovation. The room does not feel clean or comfortable. This is one of the least comfortable Mecure hotels in Europe. There is no wireless internet in the guest rooms. The building itself is a bit older and the rooms are rough around the edges, it feels like the Mercure brand has just been slapped over the old hotel. Overall not bad, but definitely not good for business travelers and definitely not worth the rates charged.

The hotel is very close to train and metro station, it is easy to access all tour sites by metro. It offers free wifi, but you have to pay for your breakfast for $15/person

The most expensive night in a two week tour of Europe and the least satisfactory. We stayed there solely because it was close to the Westbahnhof station, which is a plus. Clean bathroom and brightly lit (a blessing). Bed comfortable, but sheets on the second bed seemed to have not been cleaned. Whenever there is a second bed, I tend to use it for reading/working. Excellent location.

This is a very upscale hotel in the heart of Vienna. 2 shorts blocks from the Westbahnoff. The train station is convienient (3 or 4 stops) to St Stephans Platz (city center) and connects with the CAT (transportation to the Vienna airport).

The first room we were given (2nd floor) was very shabby and outdated, and even the tv recption was poor. To top it off, in 38 degree heat there was no air-conditioning, and the windows opened onto a noisy street. The room was just about adequate, the carpet was very badly worn almost thread bare in several places. There was no tea or coffee making facilities in my room although some others did seem to have this. The shower glass allowed water to flow freely onto the floor of the bathroom and the shower temperature was inconsistent and difficult to control. I […] had to complain about wind noise whistling through the UPV double glazed frame as a huge chunk of the rubber seal was missing. I had breakfast on two days and for €15 was poor quality and disappointing. The hotel bar closed at midnight even when there were customers who wanted to have more drink, although the staff were all very pleasant, some of them were really good, there was no flexibility on the bar closing. This hotel is right across the street from the train station which is nice. But it's a 15 minute walk from the city center, so take your pick on which is more important to you. The hotel is located near the underground and suburban train stations, which made getting around town quick and easy. The hotel itself was average, definately not 4 star but it was ok for the 4 nights we stayed. Hotel staff were helpful and spoke English which was convenient. When we arrived at the hotel we were asked if we wanted to upgrade our room […] to one which had air conditiioning - we thought that would have come standard with the room, but not the case. We also had asked for a non-smoking room but the room itself smelt like old cigarettes and there was a random damp patch on the floor. The shower was pretty terrible and was either boiling hot or freezing cold - thank god for the bath! We arrived late after coming from Salzburg. Suri the person behind the reception desk,was the most unpleasant that I've ever encountered in all of the places which I've visited in Europe. After getting the room numbers (we had 2 rooms), I started to ask a question, after 3 words spoken I was interrupted. Couldn't even finish my question. I was trying […] to get both room next to each other. His response was that they were overbooked. It is not my fault that the airlines and hotels continue to overbook. He was rude and didn't even attempt to give us an option, or perhap tell us that as soon as another room came available we could have it. We witnessed the next day, another guest checking in with a different person, and she not only got a smile, but suggestions as to what was near by, and the MUST in Vienna. The carpet in our room was old, faded and stained to no avail. The room size and bathroom were confortable. In Viennese standard this is a 4 stars hotel, I would only give it 3 stars. The saving grace for this hotel was the friendliest, attentive, warm and caring bartender. If you ever stay at this hotel go and visit Ismet, he made it worthwhile. The hotel is within walking distance to the train station and underground transportation (metro). This was an asset. We came in from Salzburg, and just walked about a block to the hotel. Hot and no air conditioning. We were told the air would be turned on in June. We had a very nice room but there was street noise. We had to close the windows. Too bad all this happened since we did enjoy the hotel. Location is excellent, right next to the rail station.

You can literally see this hotel from the Westbahoff train station. Vienna doesn't have one big train station like most cities (they're doing construction on one now), but rather 3 large stations spread throughout the city. The good news is, it is very easy to get around via the Underground system. From the the Westbahnhoff station, you can take the […] U3 or U6, which will quickly and easily take you to the other main inter-city train stations, and right to the city center. Since the hotel is about a block from the train station, it is nearly impossible to get lost. The hotel staff was incredibly helpful and awesome. They answered all of our dumb questions (like "how do I buy a train ticket?") with the utmost patience and friendliness. They also booked a tour for us that picked us up right from the hotel. The room itself was comfortable and a little fancy (they upgraded us to a super for free!), the breakfast good but expensive. There was a nice shower and it was clean, decorated well, and there are prints from Vienesse artists all over the hotel. Další informace

This hotel is well-placed and easily accessed to the airport by bus and to the main shopping street of Vienna. However, it's a typical chain hotel without much unique character. But at a good price and great location, it makes a very suitable option in Vienna.

A walk of less than one hundred metres to regional train, underground and trams makes this hotel a winner in spite of the desk staff. Information sought from them on the whereabouts of a popular tourist attraction resulted in valuable time wasted and us being sent to the wrong suburb of Vienna. Hotel is situated at West Banhof. Very convenient for tubes, trains and trams! it takes only 10 minutes to get into the centre. There is a Chinese restaurant opposite the hotel which is good. The area itself isnt all that great but who cares. No air-con in the room and only a fan which does not help at all if the weather is hot. Hotel lift is small […] and seems to take forever. Internet, movies etc are at rip of prices. 14.00 Euro for per movie and 18 Euro for 24 access to internet when with other hotels internet is at least free. Hard to believe this hotel is a 4 star. The hotel was conveniently located very near to Westbanhof metro station. It was very comfortable but the big let down was no air conditioning. We had to leave the windows open and ended up with mozzie bites. Breakfast was a feeding frenzy scrum; trying to accommodate too many people at the same time! Some days a queue to get into the scrum.

前にも泊まりましたが、駅から近くだし快適でした。ですが、1泊だけアジア人の団体が、泊まってロビーテーブルには、食べ残しの用器の残骸やロビーでのカードのカケごとをやったりして非常に迷惑でした。朝も早くからドアをノックして起してるみたいで、騒がしい大きな声で非常に迷惑でした。それがなければ、快適なホテルです。朝食も品数が多くて朝から豪華で満足しました。またウィーンに行ったら泊まりたいです。団体客のマナーだけは、守ってほしいです。

国際線発着の西駅に近く、メトロもあり交通の便は良かったです。22時くらいのチェックインだったのですが、その時間帯にチェックインする人も多く、フロントも24時間対応なので安心しました。スタッフの対応も良かったです。Wi-Fiはフロントでしか使えず不便でした。ツインの部屋はやや狭かったですが、バスタブがあったのでゆっくりお風呂に入れました。

今回も鉄道で移動しながらの旅だったので、駅から近いホテルを選択しました。数年前にはなかった、湯沸し＆コーヒー・紅茶も部屋に置いてありとてもよかったです。Wi-Fiも問題なくつながりました。空港行きのバス乗り場も西駅前なので、ウィーン滞在の際はまたこのホテルを利用したいと思います。

西駅のすぐそばなので、電車で近郊に日帰りができます。私は１週間滞在してザルツブルグとリンツに日帰りで行きました。電車は、ＷＥＳＴという私鉄がＱＢＢに比べて格安でよいです。チケットは車内で車掌さんから買えます。空港へのシャトルバスも１時間に２本程度西駅から出ています。リンク外のため料金も安いのに、地下鉄やトラムでどこにでもすぐ行けるので不便は全く感じません。日中は観光、夜も遅くに戻って寝るだけなら十分なホテルです。西駅の中に、いろいろな店舗があるので、買い物や食事にも便利です。
