To compare: Now I'm in a hotel that is 3 times more expensive, worn out, smells funny, is extremely noisy and a "brand"... Stay in Red Roof if you can.

Staff was really friendly, rooms itself is little outdated, part of the resort is undergoing a renovation. Hotel is in a good location, lot of restaurants and malls are within 10 minutes drive. I would definitely stay here again

Wasn't too impressed when we first drove to the site but once inside hotel property was very impressed. The pool area and bird sanctuary (cage) was cool. Rooms were very nice and clean. This is great place for those looking for a reasonable motel in the Scottsdale-Mesa area. Older but well kept and very clean. I recently stayed at the Papago inn prior to a job interview and found the property was very nice. My room door stuck every time I attempted entry. I had to body slam the door to get in. Pillows were terrible. Bed was comfortable and room was clean. Vending room was locked long after if should have been open making it impossible for us to get a bottle […] of water. Although not in a pedestrian friendly area, a quick drive delivers you to downtown Scottsdale with all the restaurants and shopping it is famous for. Easy drive to airport. Wow! This was truly a special place for me and my family. Beautiful courtyard, a nicely appointed room, wonderfully helpful staff. This will be remembered forever by us all. My daughter loved the robe waiting for her. Fit for a princess. My son loved the pool and walking next door to see all the exotic cars. We all loved having breakfast among the parakeets […] while they were singing gently to us, and Dad definitely loved the reasonable price! "Old hotel with a back alley, not inviting staff."
The location of this hotel was not good. Located on a street with a bunch of car dealerships and by a strip mall. Hotels exposed to a back ally, which did not seem to be safe. First impression was not good as when we approached our room, there was a shopping cart in front of the door, and our room was on the 2nd floor. Our room was old and not in good […] condition. Baseboards not complete and wall was uneven with dimples of spackel. Room was noisy as we could hear everything going on outside and in the room next to us. People in the room next to us was up to 3 AM and talking loudly so we did not get a good nights sleep at all. 2nd Room that we moved to was better but not great. The front desk staff was not friendly. No smile or anything while talking to tenants. Seemed annoyed when I asked to move to another room. "Very Comfortable Stay"
We went to Phoenix for a long weekend getaway and wanted to stay near Old Town Scottsdale. Although an older property is was clean and well maintained. Location was great very close to everything we wanted to do.
