Pobytové pasy, které vám chtějí vnutit hned při příjezdu (s celkem úsměvnou slevou 20,-USD!!!), pro extra služby, doporučuji nekupovat, jsou drahé a nenabízí dle mého názoru moc zábavy. A to ještě za jízdu na kačerovi po jezeru, ve kterém je zakázáno koupat, stejně zaplatíte 12,-USD... Golfové greeny, které vychvalují jako něco super, bych osobně považoval za náš běžný standart a nehrál jsem na nich. Restaurace v areálu jsem nevyužíval, protože za cenu večeře pro jednoho, jsme se v okolí mimo areál najedli všichni tři...

"Not a 5 star but definitely the best deal!!"
You can't go wrong with this hotel. Under $100 a night and they have all the accommodations of any other hotel. Plus the breakfast is pretty good. It was way better than what I expected. The fitness room has treadmills and that's it which was a little disappointing. We went to Wet-n-Wild and universal and both are about 2 miles away. Plus there is stop […] outside the hotel for the I-Trolley which takes you anywhere on I -Drive. We didn't get the chance to ride it because of time but it is a great feature. "Beautiful hotel overall but..."
Room was beautiful, clean, no funny or mildew type smells, bathroom was sparkling clean, overall impression of hotel was that it was a really nice place - we paid a very reasonable for the night (including tax, etc) and I thought it was a good deal. Two minor complaints - more towels in the bathroom would have been nice. Didn't call to ask for more […] - just made due. It was fine. Also, we would have liked the option to enjoy the pool after a long day. It closed at 11pm. One significant complaint was the breakfast offerings. One waffle maker, and only waffle mix with strawberry syrup mixed into it was available. We did not enjoy strawberry waffles so much. The sausage patty had some type of brown liquid running off it and getting into the eggs (not very good at all), toast & breads were not soft, so not sure how fresh they were, coffee was mediocre. The only fruit available was bananas. No yogurt choices. Two cereals offered. Orange juice tasted watered down and overly acidic. Just not happy. Anyway, aside from the breakfast, we were really happy overall. We do enjoy when a nice breakfast is offered and sometimes that is the deciding factor when we stay somewhere since we have many children. That saves us $$ on eating breakfast in a restaurant. However, since it was just the two of us this time, that wasn't as big of a concern. "Nice and clean ..can't beat it for the rate!"
We booked two rooms and had a nice one night stay at the Wingate. Our room was pretty clean and so was the bathroom. This is coming from a person who carries Ajax/Clorox wipes to clean my room at arrival..So I am extremely picky...they do need to replace some ripped curtains with holes but honestly it wasn't a big deal. The staff in the front desk was […] pleasant and at departure I also exchanged some words with a hispanic housekeeper who was very sweet ! The only thing I can say could be better was breakfast ..don't expect too much protein. The eggs seemed microwaved but If you don't mind having cereal with milk or a coffee with bread, pastries, juice and waffles then you are fine. They did come out and refill when things would be consumed so that was a plus. Overall for the price I consider this an excellent choice and yes we will be back. The hotel was very clean and the staff was friendly. The location was great as we were only about 5 minutes from Universal Studios. My overall stay was ok. Front desk clerk was great. She was very accommodating and friendly. The room was dated and musty. I worried that for the price, the hotel would be a dive. It turned out great! The rooms was clean and was perfect for our 2-night stay. The wi-fi was a plus. It would be great if they could provide some gluten-free breakfast choices -- everything was muffins/waffles, even the cereals were wheat based. "Pretty good experience"
Decent place, clean, no problems. Nice free breakfast, but not fabulous. "Excellent..."
Facility was very clean and staff is exceptional!!! Especially Lyn the Assistant Manager. The breakfast was good, especially the belgian waffles. "Easy access to surrounding attraction and shopping"
Good welcome at reception on check in - staff generally very helpful and cheery. Room was very spacious but could have done with a thorough clean in 'out of sight' areas I.e., behind and under bed, sofa etc., (lots of fluff). Bathroom spacious and good shower, housekeeping good. Bed reasonably comfortable but awful pillows which I was told on check […] out were about to be replaced and not before time. Buffet breakfast was plentiful and re-stocked regularly - often needed to keep ahead of guests thinking it was acceptable to make up their packed lunches before leaving for the day! Other than Internet service, which was fair to poor, location was convenient, staff were pleasant, hotel cleanliness was good, such that we would stay there again. We were told the Internet issues were temporary however I was left with the impression that it was a familiar guest complaint. I would like to address each item that you have mentioned in your review. Our location in regards to Universal Studios is approximately ½-1 mile from the front Gate. We offer a complimentary shuttle as you know that will take you over to the park. It is run by Universal so we have no input into the times of pickup and return. Many guests on warm days use the option to walk to the park. I have not had any complaints on the walk. It usually on a normal pace walk takes about 15-20 minutes, with a water taxi ride to the main gate. Our location also gives our guests access to about 100 restaurants within a 5 mile radius. If you had asked for recommendation of nicer places to dine, my front desk staff has a lot of information, all nationalities etc. We also have little complimentary cards for items at some of the best restaurants in the area. I hope that you will give us another opportunity to show you the area and give you a good night’s sleep. We contact us if we can be of further assistance, and I do apologize for your inconveniences.
