Hodnocení zadal host společnosti Hotels.com 6. 12. 2012Pokud pojedeme znovu do NY, nemáme potřebu hledat nový hotel, znovu se ubytujeme zde. Je to kousek do centra, 2 klíčové linky jsou od hotelu max 10 minut pěšky. Pokoj působí na první pohled skoro luxusně, velmi pohodlná americká (vysoká) postel, v základním vybavení fén, lednice, kávovar, žehlička. Na pokoji a v celém hotelu funguje vysokorychlostní internet. Snídaně, které člověka povzbudí na celý den byly pestré (každý den stejné) a v americkém stylu, nečekejte tedy šunku nebo salám na chleba, ale spíše koblihy, mysli, pomazánky, vafle, kávu a čerstvé džusy. Při cestě z metra do hotelu minete několik obchodů s rychlým občerstvením "take away", takže večeře na pokoji není problém. Hotel nám poskytl dobré útočiště po celém dnu běhání po NY. Při pobytu doporučujeme pořídit si při vstupu do metra týdenní jízdenku a neřešit pak každou cestu metrem.

Spacious, clean, quiet. Walking distance to most things, including some reasonably priced, good restaurants. Very helpful staff. The complimentary breakfast was the only disappointment as it offered only pastries, when we were looking for fresh fruit and cereals. I have been to Midtown Manhattan twice before for business and once for a pleasure visit. The Michelangelo was by far the best accommodations that I have had. Our room was roomy, clean, well appointed, with a comfortable bathroom and separate area with mirror off the main room. The central air was accurate with an excellent fan setting for white noise […] for light sleepers. The king size bed, less common in the Time Square, Rockefeller center area, was excellent with comfortable pillows. The price was similar to the well known hotels in the area that I have used before, but with much nicer accommodations. For non-business, the WiFi internet is typically expensive and there was a convenient but basic continental breakfast. We arrived to the city early and check in wasnt until 3 pm. We checkid in with the front desk staff who was very accomodating and put a rush on getting our room available. "Luxurious, cozy, quiet hotel but service slipping!"
This was my 10th stay at The Michelangelo. I'm a repeat guest due to the location, luxury, and service. The 55 gallon bathtubs are amazing and the rooms are impeccably kept. My only concern is that the service is seriously slipping! I arrived in the freezing cold and had to not only open the door myself but drag my own luggage to the check-in counter […] as the doormen were talking at the front desk. They have a heated station by the door so one of them should be there. Requested room type wasn't given due to a due to a mistake by the staff I'd spoken with prior to my arrival. Disappointing--as this has never happened before. Furthermore, I requested turndown service at 7:30 pm with ice-- never happened. As little at it seems, one of the charms of this lovely hotel was that in the past I never even had to ask for turndown service. I'd return to my room with the bed turned down, a small chocolate for the pillow, a weather prediction for the next day, and beautiful classical music lightly playing on the radio. This 5 minute gesture always meant so much to me but this time, even after requesting it, it didn't happen. I also had to call 3x to get someone to pick up the phone for room service. Once arrived, the service was lovely, portions large, and the quality of the food was stellar---worth the standard over-the-top room service cost. "Lovely room in lovely hotel"
Lovely hotel, great location, large bright room with nice furnishings. The hotel is elegant and rooms large for New York standard. Only negative was no view and window directly onto a wall. "Lousy service, but nice property."
Property was immaculate, well-decorated, and clean, although both the minibar fridge and the closet doors were broken. Rooms are rather large for New York and the tub and counter space was a real plus. The quality of the hotel's service was not to be believed, however, and definitely not to the standard of a 4-star hotel in New York. The front desk […] attendents upon check in were very curt and slightly rude, and did not smile or otherwise create a welcoming atmosphere. Housekeeping at one point entered without knocking, and a call for a room service menu (which should have really been provided in the room prior to arrival) was not followed up on in a timely manner. Love this hotel! We've stayed here before and so glad we decided to stay again! SO close to the theater district! We were going to see "Wicked" and it was right on the next street! So convenient.
