Location.
Located on Huanshi East Road in Guangzhou's business district, this hotel is located less than four km from the China Export Commodities Fair. Taojin Station is situated in front of the hotel.
Hotel Features.
The Garden Hotel offers a large conference center, with meeting rooms and a business center. Guests can relax at the indoor pool, children's wading pool, table tennis, steam room, sauna, and fitness center. A shopping arcade offers high-end apparel. Nine dining venues offer an array of meal choices, and include Chinese, Japanese, and Italian options. The extensive gardens include a six-story waterfall and tennis courts.
Guestrooms.
All 828 guestrooms have city views and are decorated in muted golds and browns. Guests can request a pillow menu, with options ranging from goose feather to buckwheat. Work desks, telephones with voice mail, coffee/tea makers, and minibars are provided. TVs offer satellite channels, including HBO. Bathrooms provide robes, slippers, weight scales, and hair dryers. Fresh flowers adorn rooms and bathrooms.

Peach Blossom Restaurant - Traditional Chinese restaurant serving dim sum and meals. Entrance pond, wooden gables, and murals of warrior decorate the large hall. Open all day. Eight private side rooms. The restaurant also provides food for the pavilion in the garden, which can be hired for private functions.
Connoisseur Restaurant - French cuisine and comprehensive wine list. Chandeliers, ornate carpeting, and central fountain. Pillars and French-style windows. Candles and flowers on tables. Open for lunch and dinner.
Lai Wan Market - Informal Cantonese cuisine including dim sum, morning and afternoon teas, and snacks. Recreates an outdoor courtyard setting under trees. Chinese furnishings, some seating shaped like traditional sampans.
Carousel Revolving Restaurant - Top-floor restaurant with simple, modern décor. Small tables seat four. International buffet of Chinese, Japanese, and Western food for lunch and dinner. Views over city.
La Casa - Italian cuisine, including freshly made pasta, for lunch and dinner. Understated rustic décor and red checkered tablecloths.
Greenery Coffee Shop - Tranquil garden setting for buffet breakfasts and informal dining. Overlooks gardens and waterfall, with an outdoor patio dining area. Open all day until late. Adjacent delicatessen offers homemade bakery items, cakes, chocolate, fruit, and ice cream.
Lotus Pond - Lobby lounge and bar. Casual snacks and drinks. Views of garden and waterfall. Live piano music.
Tavern Bar - Fine wine, snacks, and cigars served in a traditional British pub setting. Open from late afternoon on weekdays and from lunch on weekends.
The Garden Hotel offers a children's playground and wading pool, as well as table tennis, tennis courts, and a swimming pool. Yoga and aerobics classes are offered in the health center, which has a fitness room as well as a sauna and steam room.
The Guangzhou Luhu Golf and Country Club is 2.5 km (1.5 miles) from the hotel. Visits can be arranged through the business center.

The hotel lobby, hallways and staff were very nice. However, my room was not very clean and I had to have a cleaning person come and scrub food etc off of my walls when I arrived. I really expected a more updated room for the price.

my husband was planning to book the Crown but booked the Garden by mistake, and turned out the booking can't be canceled. The hotel locates in business area right next to metro station. the room is quiet old. beds are hard. The Cantonese restaurant on the 2nd floor is very good. Anyway, with the same price, there are much better choices than this.

There was a metro outside the hotel however the hotel is not close to the bustling markets/shopping/restaurants part of town. The hotel and rooms were also fairly dated and was not as impressive as I had envisiged it would be.

Chinese friends recommended this hotel, I lived in this and another hotel that was cheaper and in my opinion better. Room very basic, quite grandiose lobby, breakfast expensive but quite expensive compared to other hotels. Clean and efficient though. Needs a big renovation. Lobby is good but rooms are awful. There are several hotels in the area, so I suggest to check them before this one.
"Garden hotel Guangzhou - well worth the price"
Gz was our last leg during our china trip and we were glad we booked garden hotel after staying in various 3-4 star hotels throughout china. The huge mural wall at reception was impressive. Rooms were standard, not new but comfortable and spacious. The hotel's Lai Wan restaurant was outstanding, we had our late dinner there as it was raining. located […] right next to an MRT station so especially convenient during a rainy day when there's no cab. I normally stay right at the airport but was told this hotel was worth the drive in to downtown and "HANDS DOWN" this hotel is worth every penny and then some. "Garden Hotel in Guangzhou - Beware in the bar"
Garden Hotel in Guangzhou This “grand dame” of Chinese hotels is still a wonderful place to stay. The staff is excellent, the rooms great, a good experience all around. Food in the restaurants is excellent. The downside is that anything other than the room rate is rather expensive. For example, if you wanted a cheeseburger in your room it was more […] than $30.00, as compared to more local fare for $10.00. I was disappointed in the lobby bar. There were a lot of “working girls” at the bar, and it was uncomfortable as they stared at me and spoke to me as I walked in, and then if I happened to turn my head the wrong way and made eye contact, it happened all over again. "Garden Hotel"
We stayed here for the trade fair and found the hotel to be well set up for business travellers. We stayed in an Executive room with free internet and business facilities available. Free shuttle bus to and from the fair was available too. A nice touch was a card left when the bed was turned down with the next days weather forecast handwritten on it. "Spot on location"
The location was a winner with bars and shops nearby. Hotel service was quick and friendly - order a burger to your room in less than 20 mins!! Would defo stay there again. Nearly forgot to say that I got a free upgrade to a suite!!!!
"Delightful experience"
We have stayed at the Garden Hotel quite a few times over the last half dozen years or so and have had various rooms including executive floor. This time I booked an Elite room but was upgraded to a suite, the second time this has happened. These are very pleasant with separate bedroom and lounge, and a bathroom which meets my demanding standards in […] separate shower and temperature control etc. This is probably the best hotel experience in China over this winter season across about 20 cities so I recommend it strongly. As a note, however, the executive rooms are not worth the premium in my opinion and nowhere up to the usual standard in the international chain hotels. But the area is so good for eating out... yes~ it was eoungh to satisfact. I've been upgraded so stayed at Delux room. I recommend you a nice dimsum restourant at 3rd floor. There are so yummy dimsum(Shanghai Sharoong Bao). FEICHANG HAOCHI!!!!
"The Garden Extremes"
The room was wonderful, the French restaurant even better...First class food, service and atmosphere (piano, all window seats, candles, no crowds, loud voices or mobile phones and fair prices!) The seafood (advert targets the Boston lobster) buffet in the revolving restaurant was just OK, not great...lots of lobster shells, but very little lobster...no […] scallops, so the price of virtually $500 HKD per person is way too expensive, despite the great view.The breakfast buffet, never again...too many people with NO manners, plus the English skills of the staff were poor. I ordered, by pointing at the menu, 2 eggs any style, ham, potato, toast...got a boiled egg and half an hour later, an omelet. The coffee was brutal and served in a chilled cup, outside by the pond, and made the horrible coffee even colder. I sat outside to avoid the disgusting circus inside near the buffet. That worked for a while, but people soon found their way outside to feed the fish with their scraps. The bar/lounge on the first floor offers excellent choices and service. I will go back to The Garden...but Starbucks around the corner offers a sufficient breakfast/coffee...and I should have known better than to attend a buffet. Limit yourself to the bar/lounge and the french restaurant and you will have a wonderful time for a decent/fair price. Další informace

広州は近年、シャングリラ、ソフィテルなど5つ星ホテルが多数オープンしてますが、ビジネス目的では高価なホテル。それらと比較して花園酒店は、設備こそ新しくは無いし、贅沢度は無論劣りますが、安心して泊まれるホテルだと思います。 今回は、チェックアウトで少し15分位掛って苛々しましたが・・・（研修生の様でしたが）。

外観はさすがに新しいとは言いにくいが、中も立派だし、 建物こそ古いが、良質なホテルだと思います。バスルームなどの豪華さでは他の５つ星ホテルには劣るかもしれませんが、出張目的では豪華なホテルとの印象です。
