wasn't happy at all.over pricing ...

The room was small for the 4 of us but was clean. The elevator works for 1 person with a bag. The internet didn't work for any of us, and by the way the desk attendent responded, that wasn't a surprise. There is no internal lock (ie chain or dead bolt) on the door. We were talked in to a shuttle to the airport and were dropped at the wrong terminal […] - so much for 'door to door'. For a family; I'd reconsider this choice. Další informace

Nice and clean rooms. Rooms are small but just enough. And the hotel has free internet WI-FI which can be difficuelt to find in Paris without pay extra.. I would consider comming back.

These hotels need a reality check- gone are the days because you renovate the foyer & neglect the rooms customers will not be impressed nor want to return to this level of hotel. The carpet was old & shabby, the bathroom tiles were off the wall. The lady on reception was rude & really defined the meaning of Miserable.

Not really knowing if we made the right choice we were thrilled to find our room was clean, bright, roomy and comfortable and the staff was very nice and helpful. Tiny room, very small bathroom with some mold and an off-smell. Price was good for the section and the location is fantastic.

I travel to paris for work every other week, aso based on experience I can say that this place is clean, well located with pleasant staff. You can easily pay more for worse hotels over by Republic. and this area is much nicer for less money. Ill be staying here more.

Great Location right in the heart of the Latin Quarter. Almost no aminities. The air conditioning was broken and they suggested that we walk to the store at the corner and buy a fan, which they refused to reimburse us for. The beds were small and the furniture consisted of what would best be described as a 30 year old cheap college dorm room desk. In […] fact the room was slightly below a dorm room in a 30 year old dorm. The breakfast was good but not great and the elevator was at least 50 years old and would only accomodate 2 people with no luggage or 1 person with maybe 2 bags. There was no one to help with luggage, in fact other that breakfast time there was no one at the hotel other than the desk clerk. Definitely the worst hotel I have ever stayed at. If I could have found another hotel I would have moved but there was a big airshow that week and everything was booked. If this hotel is a 3 star hotel according to Hotels.com then you need to add additional ratings such as 6 stars, 7 stars, 8 stars, well you get the picture. We were very satisfied with our stay at this hotel. We stayed for 2 nights in May and it was comfortable, quiet, clean and in a safe neighborhood which is just what we were looking for! The room didn't have a view to the outside - just into the inside walls of the hotel so it was dark - which wasn't necessarily a bad thing when you ar trying to sleep. […] Front desk service was polite and spoke English. The Hotel California is only a five minute walk away from Notre Dame Cathedral and all the cafes and bars in the Saint Michel area. The wifi was free and really fast. The room I stayed in was small, the bed just fitted in, but I was comfortable enough not to worry. The bathroom was clean and useable. A nice hotel I'd be happy to recommend. However booking the room on a fairly short notice leaves you with quite an expensive accommodation for a room that's no more than basic. The hotel is in a very nice area, next to the Sorbonne university and the Panthéon. Metro a few minutes walk and plenty of restaurants and cafés close by. We had breakfast in a boulangerie on the corner, was cheaper than the hotel breakfast. I'd certainly stay in this area of Paris again. Not the ultimate in luxury, but in a lovely neighborhood, close to the Notre Dame. Sophie at the front desk is a delight -- make sure you have her help you with restaurant reservations. Recommended (French) restaurants within VERY easy walking distance are Louis Vins (NO credit cards) and Coupe-Chou.

The room was very very small. The walls were very thin so you can here everything around you, each door opening from the near room/rooms. 2 good things: 1. location 2. good service (reception)

The place was clean but my room was much smaller than the pictures and very cheaply furnished. This is expected in many hotels in Paris but they should tell it like it is. The staff were nice enough, location is very good. I didn't try the food.

Great area! Five to ten minute walk to the Pantheon, Notre Dame de Paris, the Metro and the Seine. Near many good and very good restaurants, bistros and cafes in all price ranges. The staff was pleasant, the rooms clean. It is not a "fancy" hotel but it was perfect for my family of 4. We were in two rooms which connected with a door in between. The room with the A/C unit had the twin beds and in order to get the other room (with the larger bed and TV) cool, we had to lower the A/C quite a bit . The room with the twin beds got very cold. However, we had very good duvets so this was not a big problem but worth mentioning. We would definitely recommend this hotel and the location to anyone staying in Paris. I enjoyed my stay at this hotel despite the fact that the hotel elevator was out of order and the rooms were quite small. We had to take turns to walk across the room. We were a party of 4 with two children and were able to get a 2-bedroom unit that was very comfortable. The bath was upgraded, the room very clean and the breakfast each morning very nice. It's in a very nice area close to Notre Dame and not too far a walk to the Louve. Easy access by subway if you know the system. Overall, we were very pleased and […] the price was right!! This was our first time in Paris and we were apprehensive over what our experience would be like. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The location was superb, just a few blocks from the Seine and the Latin Quarter restaurants, right down the street from the Sorbonne. Althought this hotel is conveniently located, it felt like the Roach Motel. No pests were spotted but it had that kind of feel. I don't know who rates the stars, but 3 stars was way too high for this joint. Hallways and stairs were grimy. Room was so small when one stood up, the other had to sit. I love a simpl hotel room and this is what we got. Clean, organized and straight forward. No tacky wall papers, annoying bed covers and pillows and extra furniture. I loved the crisp with comforter, the easy to find location and quiet lobby. The room was a bit small/cramped but the AC was a nice surprise.

Hotel has a great location. The size of the room was small but that's just how Paris does it so that was expected. Although, the bathroom was so small that even my small frame had issues maneuvering my way around the sink, shower & toilet. And the desk chair located outside the bathroom had to be moved each time just to enter the bathroom. The major […] problem was that the AC never worked & it was extremely hot. The staff talked to me & other guests as if we should just suck it up until it got fixed. They didn't offer anything in return to make up for the discomfort. I'm normally very lenient on hotels because while traveling, I only use them to sleep. But this one was so uncomfortable that I couldn't even sleep. Its location is wonderful. Downside is quality of services - no refrigerator in any rooms, although they advertise them ("they broke down and we just took them out..."). Breakfast is too expensive for what's served.

Hotellet er mindre, har små værelser, og er ikke prægtigt. Men der er hygge og de til et hotelophold krævede ting. Bad, TV, Internet og mulighed for tilkøb af overdådigt morgenbord til en lav pris, set i forhold til prisniveauet i Paris. Jeg vil helt klart anbefale dette hotel til andre og vil selv opsøge det igen ved besøg i Paris. Det er centralt […] beliggende og i gåafstand til f.eks. Trangt og slitt, men trivelig omgivelser. Ble skuffet i forhold til at 3 stjerner var gitt - 2 hadde passet bedre. Mulig den 3de stjernen var for resepsjons området som var helt ok. Ellers slitt og litt snuskete bad. Anbefales under forutsetning av man setter det positive med beliggenheten høyere enn komforten på rommet.

Hotellet ligger veldig bra til. Kort vei til metro, 5 min gange til Notre Dame, 3 min til rue Descartes med alle sine koselig små og rimelige restauranter. Rommet var ok, men hadde ikke dagslys. Vindu vendte ut mot luftesjakt. Rent og veldige gode senger. Hyggelig betjening som tom snakket bra engelsk. Un hotel muy incomodo con un terrible servicio. Al llegar no pudimos subir a nuestra habitacion porque estaban componiendo el elevador. Este proceso duro 30 minutos. Al llegar a la habitacion nos dimos cuenta que el aire acondicionador no funcionaba. La operadora que tambien atendia la recepcion nos informo que no estaban en funcionamiento el sistema […] de aire acondicionado y nos mando un ventilador. Hotel California St. Germain liegt zwischen Sorbonne, Luxemburg und den Sehenswürdigkeiten des unmittelbaren Zentrums. Die Verkehrsanbindung mit der nahen Metrostation sowie den Bussen ist optimal. Notre Dame ist in 5 Minuten zu Fuß zu erreichen. Wir bevorzugen diese Gegend wegen der angenehmen Atmosphäre für Kurzaufenthalte seit geraumer Zeit.

Hotel California er et ældre hotel med OK vedligeholdelse. Vi havde et familie værelse til 4 og der var OK plads til os. Ligger dejlig tæt på notre dame og centrum. Der var PC til rådighed i receptionen og det var et hit for vores teenage datter.
