The staff was nice, but there was an overwhelming smell of must and cigarette smoke in and just outside our room. There was even an air purifyer just outside our room that ran non stop. We were very disappointed because this was supposed to have been NON SMOKING. Great location. Restaurants in the next block, along with several stores. Staff was friendly. A/C worked very well. Updated furnishings (no ugly flowered bedspreads!) Nice breakfast in large room. Breakfast attendant was the most efficient we have ever seen! Kept everything well stocked and clean. Hallway outside our room was very smoky, even though […] it was a non-smoking floor - However, the staff was working on tracking the offenders to get it stopped. I was pleasantly surprised and impressed with LaQuinta. We stayed there just one night because we got stuck from the terrible weather conditions of TS Isaac last month. We were heading on a road trip and needed a place for 1 night. I did not expect much but was thoroughly surprised at how nice, clean and comfortable the room was. And so many tv channels!!
