Snídaně dost slabá. Furt toust, vajicko, dzem a muffin. Chyběla nějaká uzenina. Pokoje čiste, ale cítili jsme "starobu". Při noční ceste do hotelu byli všude přítomní ožralové a bezdomovci. Ale celkově lepší dobrá. Celodení káva zdarma.

celkem slusne ubytovani odpovidajici cene, blizko do centra, bezprostredni okoli je spatne. Prekvapive, dva bloky od centra je plno bezdomovcu a smazek. Ale projit do hotelu se da v pohode. Jen to neni moc hezky pohled.

The hotel is excelent, perfect location as this is only 2 short blocks to Union Square Plaza. The only negative comments is that room didnt have a window, we asked and the only room with window are the King Executive and up. However this detail, I recommed to stay at this hotel if you can survive with no windows.

"Small, but pretty nice"
The hotel is pretty nice actually, but the rooms are quite small - at least the room I stayed in. Not unexpected for that location. I'd say it's fine for 1 person, ok for 2, but more than that would be pretty crowded. I'm from Michigan and used to much more spacious hotel rooms. Fairly cheap I thought considering it's in Union Square. I'd recommend […] it for a business trip, but if you're there on vacation or having a party, I'd definitely look for something bigger. "Warning: Hidden extra fee for pets"
For a mid-range hotel this place is fine... one of those 'we painted and added some trendy lighting and now we're a boutique hotel' kind of places. Note that although there is nothing on their website about pets other than how pet-friendly they are, when you arrive with your four-legged friend you will be hit with a $35 surcharge (or possibly more, […] our dog was only 20lbs so it's possible that bigger dogs are charged more). "Super Convenient"
I really enjoyed staying at Hotel Union Square. The staff was great, the room was clean, the beds were comfortable, and it was so close to the BART station. Plus, the 5-6pm wine hour was a welcome delight. I couldn't have asked for a better hotel for my trip!

--Lobby and hotel hallways very cool-looking-- Not a sterile corporate hotel at all. --Nightly wine reception- a nice touch, although not serving said wine in plastic cups would be a nicer touch --Some problems with coordination/ communication between desk clerk shifts, leading to confusion and things not always followed through --Bed was comfortable, […] shower was nice. --Room was small, very dark, w/ poor lighting --Room walls were filthy-- scuffed and dirty on every wall. I expect some of this w/ busy hotels but it was striking how dirty the walls in this room looked. Window was also REALLY grimy. --Bathroom door looked like it had been kicked/forced open at some point and was cracked/broken around the handle area--To the extent it would not open unless you managed to turn the handle just the right way. Told staff about it, "oh, we'll get maintenance on that right away,"-- 3 days later, not fixed. --Downtown location by the cable car turnaround was exceptionally noisy. I know SF is a noisy place, but based on my stays @ other hotels I'd say this is a particularly noisy spot. The hotel is from 1908, but the coolness factor is awesome!!! Had a great room with a great staff!!! VERY clean and everyone was VERY helpful and happy. Positively staying there again!!!
For the area, the price of the hotel is reasonable. However, in retrospect, I think it would have been worth spending a little more and getting a nicer room. The rooms are TINY...I'm 5 ft, my husband isn't very big either, and we had zero space to move in either the room or the bathroom in the "executive queen" room. The radiator didn't work at all, […] but the front desk did give us a space heater. The room made us feel claustrophobic - even the view looked out at the fire escape and the brick wall of the neighboring building. The front desk staff were nice and courteous, and kindly faxed some things for me without charging me. All in all, it was clean and cheap, but the room size definitely was a minus. Další informace

Hotel was well worth the price for the location & condition. I travel often & this hotel is one I am already planning to stay at again. Only downside, some of the hotel rooms faces Powell st. w/ the trolleys- the noise didn't bother me b/c I live next to train tracks. "Hotel Union Square - one of the BEST locations!"
Being able to walk out of our hotel and be in the heart of San Francisco was most enjoyable to our stay. Not only were we right on the cable route, It was convenient to the best restaurants, rental cars, and the "F" line which took us right to Fisherman's Wharf! We had internet access in a comfortable location and were able to print out our boarding […] passes for our return flight home. Chose to stay here while in sf overnight for work. A great central location to jump on bart or walk to union square. I loved the decor and updates to the 100+ year old hotel. I read the previous reviews and hesitated for a while before booking. The end of the story is that I am very happy with my choice of staying here. I stayed in the back side. The space is ample. There is a "roof window" which is a plus (whether it was made intentionally or unintentionally).

I came with my Boyfriend for Valentine's Day. Hotel Union Square was comfortable and clean. And we were close to everything. I would recommend anyone to stay here. The rooms are small, but if you are going w/ just two people its just right,

The price was right for the neighborhood, the bed low but comfortable, fixtures clean, parking a deal and easy. My room badly needed a paint job, tile grouting. I'd stay again, but not before other properties at a similar value. Personnel were all friendly and helpful.

"Convenient and cosy"
The location was right in the heart of San Fran. Close to transportation lines and conveniently located within minutes of shopping and groceries. Room was smaller than expected but clean. A pleasant stay altogether.

"Worst hotel bed ever"
The mattress was super thin and uncomfortable and the room is so small they taped wads of padding to the corners which I tripped over incessantly. The noise levels were high but tolerable. They didn't keep me up but I'm a heavy sleeper. Light sleepers need to bring ear plugs. All in all I'd say go around the corner and stay at The Mosser.

My room had NO WINDOWS! it was dark and unpleasant. My wife wanted to leave because she was feeling confined. there was some sort of central heat that was on too high that I could not control so i had to combat the heat with a swamp cooler (convieniently located in our room). Thank god the 9ers beat the Saints or the trip would have been horrible.

Our room was nice but the bathroom was dirty with toilet paper on the floor and an empty roll. Also the tub was not cleaned out! Our television movies were not working to order pay per view and the staff seemed very unapologetic. Ideal location, close to shopping malls, many restaurants & night-life activities. Powell Street Station is just a few minutes walk away where we can board the cable car to most of the interesting tourists spots. "Good value if you get the right room"
The hotel is in a great location and the staff are very helpful, but there is a huge range of differences in the rooms. I was first given a small room in the back of the hotel because I asked for something quiet. When I say the room it was tiny and unattractive, but the bathroom was even worse and looked like something in a prison cell. They tried to […] upsell me to a better room, but the only other thing they had in the same price was right on the front of the hotel, and it was incredibly noisy all night. The next morning they moved me to another room inside the hotel with nothing but a light shaft for a window, but it was very quiet and the room very nice, with a beautiful bathroom and comfortable bed. The difference between this and the first two rooms was huge. So be careful, the pictures they show are all of the upgraded deluxe rooms, the standard ones are closer to what you'd find in a one star European hotel.
