I díky hotelu Ambassador Waikiki a jeho perzonálu jsme strávili v únoru 2012 nádherné téměř 3 týdny dovolené na Havaji. Hotel je výborně situován. Nachází se na spojnici dvou živých obchodních tepen Waikiki. Pokoje jsou však orientovány do vedlejší ulice, a tak netrpí hlukem. Na pláž Waikiki je to cca 7 minut chůze malebným parkem. V okolí hotelu jsou četné obchody a restaurace různých cenových relací. Před hotelem nebo ve vzdálenosti několika minut pěšky jsou zastávky autobusů do řady atraktivních destinací jako je Pearl Harbor, centrum Honolulu, Diamond Head atd. Pokoj s postelí „king size“ byl prostorný a účelně vybavený. Internet byl dostupný zdarma. Z balkónu se naskýtal při pohledu do stran výhled jak na oceán, tak na vršky nad městem. Kuchyňka v našem pokoji byla vybavena vším potřebným: sporákem, mikrovlnnou troubou, topinkovačem, varnou konvicí, lednicí, mrazákem a kuchyňským nádobím. Díky perzonálu byl pokoj vždy vzorně čistý, jak povlečení, tak ručníky byly denně vyměňovány za nové (ani by to snad vzhledem k ekologiii nebylo třeba). Recepční byli vstřícní a vždy ochotní pomoci s cennou radou. Hotelovým hostům byl ve 3.p. k dispozici bazén s lehátky. Vše u bazénu bylo vždy čisté a dobře udržované, jen trochu rušil hluk z přilehlé Kuhio Av. Velmi příznivá relace cena/služby pro tuto kategorii hotelu jej činí velmi atraktivním a můžeme ho návštěvníkům Waikiki vřele doporučit. Nejen krásy Havaje a její přívětiví obyvatelé, ale i naše zkušenosti s hotelem Ambsassador a jeho personálem nás nutí zamýšlet se nad cestou na Havaj ještě někdy v budoucnu, i když je to z Česka pěkně daleko. Location.
The beachfront Hilton Hawaiian Village Beach Resort & Spa is set amid 22 acres of landscaped gardens, koi ponds and waterfalls in Honolulu, Hawaii. DFS Galleria stands on the resort premises. Pearl Harbor historic site is 13 miles from the hotel.
Hotel Features.
An open-air lobby features tropical-style rattan furniture, stone-tiled floors and expansive windows that overlook the resort's tropical landscape. This hotel offers 22 restaurants and lounges that prepare fare ranging from innovative Pacific Rim dishes to Mediterranean cuisine. The 33,000-square-foot Mandara Spa includes a sun terrace, a mosaic-tiled infinity pool and an extensive fitness center. The Hilton's King's Jubilee is a Polynesian dance and musical revue topped off with a fireworks display. Close to 90 boutiques and specialty stores dot this resort. Five pools include the 10,000-square-foot Super Pool. Water-sport equipment may be rented on the beach. The Rainbow Express Keiki Club offers supervised activities for children ages five through 12. A crowd pleaser, Mana, one of eight African Blackfoot Penguins, lives with his companions on the Hilton Penguin Pond.
Guestrooms.
This resort provides 2,860 guestrooms distributed among five towers. All rooms boast furnished balconies with garden or ocean views. Room amenities include mini fridges, coffeemakers and one pack of complimentary Kona coffee. Guestrooms are equipped with flat-screen televisions. In-room safes for a fee are provided. Beds include triple sheeting with premium Serenity Collection linens. Room décor varies, but all accommodations offer color palettes in vibrant marine blue, ocean teal, coral sand or sunset red. Select accommodations include CD players and MP3 adaptable clocks. Bathrooms feature marble vanities and designer toiletries.

Bali by the Sea - This ocean-view restaurant features island-inspired Pacific Rim cuisine and an award-winning wine list. Preparations include island-style surf and turf and Kona Kampachi. Open for dinner only; closed Sunday.
Rainbow Lanai - Next to a waterfall and koi pond, this indoor/outdoor restaurant is the place for buffet breakfasts, international-themed buffet dinners, à la carte lunches, and an extensive Sunday brunch.
Guests choose from six swimming pools, including a children's pool and the 10,000-square-foot Super Pool, which overlooks the beach and is surrounded by waterfalls, lush landscaping, and lava rocks. The Rainbow Express Keiki Club (surcharge) offers full- or half-day programs of recreational and educational activities with a focus on Polynesian life. The on-site health spa includes an extensive fitness center (surcharge) with cardiovascular and strength-training equipment, aerobics, and other fitness classes.
Surfboards, boogie boards, kayaks, ocean rafts, snorkel sets, umbrellas, and beach chairs can be rented on the beach. Outrigger canoes and catamarans offer rides from the beach. From the Village's pier, the Atlantis Submarine conducts underwater discovery tours (surcharge).
Many other recreational activities are available in the area surrounding the resort, including skydiving, parasailing, helicopter/airplane sightseeing, and nature/wildlife tours.

We stayed in the Rainbow Tower with an Ocean Front Room. The room itself was very nice and very clean. However that is where the positive experience ends. For a romantic getaway or a portion of your honeymoon stay away from this place. Concierge will not help at all in preparing your room beforehand. I requested to have a bottle of champagne and some […] flowers spread throughout our room and they would not help at all. The concierge said I could call a local florist and have it sent to the room after we arrive. Also for the champagne bottle to call room service after I arrive. As for the elevators to the rainbow tower, completely awful. You select your floor and it tells you which elevator you will be taking. You wait minimum 5 minutes for your elevator to arrive and by the time it does, you are packed like sardines in a can! This stay was the second leg in our honeymoon where we just arrived in Honolulu after a 5 day stay in Maui. This resort also nickle and dimes you for everything! Expect to be dinged for the following: wifi, beach chairs, beach umbrellas, parking (valet and self park). Also the prices at the breakfast buffet were outrageous! Avoid the hotel restaurants at all costs, there are plenty restaurants within walking distance that are half the cost. Never again will I stay at this hotel. Další informace
"No sleep in paradise..."
We had a great room.. 6th floor in the Rainbow Tower.. facing the ocean.. just one BIG problem! Every morning at 4am, a construction grade beach tractor swept the beach for 2 hours.. waking everybody and everything. Yes... I could of changed rooms but why? higher up wouldn't work.. and facing the ocean was what we paid for! The response of management […] was that it was out of their control and that it was "the city"... Come-on.. .really?... you can't get the city to stop waking up all your guests at 4am every morning... say it ain't so. Found everyone to be friendly and helpful at the Hilton Hawaiian Village. Unfortunately, while our room was comfortable in the sense of furnishings etc we very close to the service lifts which were noisy. Unfortunately, the hotel was unable to relocate us per our request. However, the inconvenient noise would not stop me from re-booking with the Hilton […] again but I would ensure that I was able to secure a room away from the lifts. Great family holiday location! My kids and I enjoyed every minute. We enjoyed the pools, restaurants and most important the location. You didnʻt have to leave the hotel because they had everything you needed. My family and I vacation here almost once a year. Itʻs a big treat for us.

I stayed here at the very tail end of my 10 day vacation. The staff were courteous and helpful. They gave me an upgraded room and a late checkout. "terrible, big mistake"
This was a disaster. The moment I stepped into the resort i knew I had made a mistake. wAY TOO busy with too many people, the quality of service was bad, and to get to reception it took too long. I regretted the whole stay I wante to leave the day I arrive. I wanted a refund.

My partner and I desperately needed some alone time and the Hilton Hawaiian Village Resort was a perfect accommodation for our staycation getaway. Though it was pricey, we wouldn't have changed anything! The room service was the best part of our experience!

We just returned from a one week stay at the Hilton Hawaiian Village. The hotel was everything they promised. We were right on the beach, rooms were clean, property was clean, and food was good. The Lagoon is a great picture, but not worth spending any time there. Get out on the beach and head away from the Hilton crowd. While you are there, find the […] food places off the main drags. We had a couple of meals and multiple drinks at Moose Mcgillicuddys on Lewers. Avoid the reduced tour booths, they are a scam. Avoid the airport shuttles, just get a cab; cheaper. Figure out the public bus system and get away to the great beaches on the North Shore for a mere$2.50 and about a 2 hour trip. We went to Sunset Beach for one afternoon. Locate a local "ABC" Store to get your essentials for the beach and to stock your refrigerator. Dukes was also a favorite spot of ours for lunch, supper, or a quick drink. if you have time, check out the Army Museum right off the beach. Další informace

Rooms were perfect, clean, bright, nice. We read in reviews "the elevators were slow", we never had to wait more then 1 minute for an elevator. The best hotel on Waikiki Beach, "AWESOME" fireworks on Friday night better then We exspected, this was our first trip to Honolulu, we had a perfect vacation, we walked from our room to he top of Diamond Head, […] took 5 hours but I wouldnt have missed that day for anything, take a small cooler and back pack with water bottles, at least 2 each. We rented a car went to Ka'ena point on the most western tip of Oahua we saw munk seals and Gods real country. we were awe struck by the beauty. would go back again. the hotel staff was just Perfect, HANG LOOSE HAWAII we will be back. "not great service"
overall- with no internet, execpt for $17 per day- and expensive food. Service was sorly lacking-and they certainly didn't seem to care. Pay no attention to the details... too bad..i spent my free nights here with my boyfriend..on a really speacial holiday.
"Everything you could want, right there"
This is an absolutely beautiful hotel. It sits right on the beach in Wakiki and has its own private lagoon. The Hilton Hawaiian Village is exactly that. A village. You don't just get a hotel room, there's a whole open air shopping area built right into the complex. So much so that you really didn't need to go beyond the complex, it would be pretty much […] redundant. However, if you do venture out into the city, it's a 20 minute walk to a mall on the one side, and a 10 minute walk to all the other shopping on the other side. I was most impressed that they offer a free "convenience room" on your last day if you want to stay at the beach or go to Hanauma Bay or something. "Hilton Hawaiian Village -- almost too much"
This is a huge complex with several high-rise hotel/condo buildings and many, many shops and restaurants. The facilities are all beautiful and comfortable, but the "downside" is that it always feels very busy. It is probably the nature of the "beast" (Honolulu), but travel in the surrounding area is slow, and it has its difficulties. Limited, designated […] crosswalks and extremely long traffic light cycles create impediments for pedestrians. On the other hand -- auto traffic is torturous; on one trip out our cab fare had hit $5 before we could exit the hotel property. Still -- it is Hawaii and therefore, glorious. A day drive into the countryside to explore the island was wonderful. The cruise that offered the chance of whale-sighting delivered. Enjoy the hotel, but make a point of getting off the grounds too. This resort is huge and beautiful. The facility has so much to offer. The several pools have a lot of lounge chairs but the water was very cold. The slide pool is fun, even for adults. Even though […] it has its own lagoon (which rents beach equipment) it's right on Waikiki Beach which is very clean. We had a regular room and it was large with beautiful furniture, a gorgeous bathroom, small frig.,coffee machine with coffee and tea, and a room safe which required a fee. The facility was so big that even with a grounds map we got lost several times. It took a while waiting for the elevators. There's many local restaurants and bars in the vicinity. A 20 minute walk to the International Market which is a must see. It is a beautiful walk in the evening because all the stores are lit up as well as the torches that light the walkway. Had a great stay, pool water was way to cold. They need to heat the pools. The children would turn blue. Had to lay out and no relief from heat by swimming in the pool.

This is a well-run hotel, given its massive size. There are something like seven towers of rooms (about 3000 rooms), so do not expect much privacy. However, the voluminous and ever-present staff members are all very helpful. The valets, while a bit overwhelmed, were so nice and helpful, as were the valets, registration and concierge staff. This village […] has oodles of shopping opportunities. I am not kidding. They maximize every inch of real estate for possible sales opportunities, including pitches for time shares, but it is all done very professionally and somewhat unobtrusively, as well as beautifully. We bought lots of keepsakes and gifts for our children, and clothing and jewelry for ourselves. There is of course a Starbucks location around every corner, as well. This is one big hotel. The good - location is between Ala Moana mall and the Kalakua Street shopping areas within 2 blocks of both. And it has its own beachfront. You can tell by the rate, this place is VERY expensive, just like every other nice resort in Honolulu. But it really is beautiful and in a great location. We only spent one night so I can't tell you much, however I remember the elevator system is really crazy.
