Snídaně dost slabá. Furt toust, vajicko, dzem a muffin. Chyběla nějaká uzenina. Pokoje čiste, ale cítili jsme "starobu". Při noční ceste do hotelu byli všude přítomní ožralové a bezdomovci. Ale celkově lepší dobrá. Celodení káva zdarma.

celkem slusne ubytovani odpovidajici cene, blizko do centra, bezprostredni okoli je spatne. Prekvapive, dva bloky od centra je plno bezdomovcu a smazek. Ale projit do hotelu se da v pohode. Jen to neni moc hezky pohled.

Hotel Features.
The Mandarin Oriental features an Asian-inspired lobby dramatically defined with cream, gold and black color schemes. Silk wall treatments and hand-painted silk chandeliers ornament Silks Restaurant. This fine-dining establishment blends Pacific Rim influences with West Coast signature dishes. The lobby-level Mobar Lounge serves appetizers and a selection of cocktails. A 24-hour staffed business center houses three flat-screen computers and offers a range of business services. Complimentary wireless Internet access is provided in public areas. Five rooms offer 3,900 square feet of function space that accommodates group events. A fitness center features cardiovascular machines equipped with individual televisions and headsets, and strength-training machines. Chinese and Swedish massage may be scheduled. The Mandarin Oriental San Francisco offers 158 guestrooms that occupy floors 38-48. Guestrooms feature beds draped beneath 440-thread-count Egyptian-cotton sheets. Color palettes reflect cinnamon-red hues that play colorfully against the rooms' Asian accents. Bathrooms are clad in Italian marble and are stocked with Molton Brown or Gilchrist & Soames toiletries. Beds are oversized and raised slightly higher than normal to afford comfortably reclined views of bay and city nighttime panoramas. Bedside controls dim the lights. Wood furnishings are crafted from mahogany and feature gold-leaf accents. Sheer window treatments are delicately designed with ginko-leaf patterns. Silks - California cuisine with Asian accents, open for breakfast and dinner daily, and lunch on weekdays. The peach-and-gold color scheme goes exotic with silk chandeliers and curtains, a stenciled ceiling with recessed lighting, and wall hangings of antique monks' robes. The seasonally changing menu includes entrées such as Corn Crusted Sea Bass with a Creamy Brioche, Sweet Potato Bread Pudding, and Wok Fired Spicy Greens. Our hotel stay was fabulous. Our view from our room and the staff was worth every penny. The staff found ways to make our 30th wedding anniversary very special. The hotel is under remodel, but it was still an enjoyable stay for us. We are looking forward to our next stay. We stayed at the hotel for 2 nights. From the time of check in until our departure we have encountered the best and most friendly staff. We were upgraded to corner rooms with the most amazing view of the city and the bay. We were welcome with a pot of their special holiday tea in our room. "The hotel is too old to live"
This mandarin is the worst i lived in the world. So old! the elevator and room looks like 1970s.

It was our first stay there and we loved it. We had a premium suite with a great view of the city looking East and South. Bay Bridge view was wonderful. It was the quietest hotel room I have EVER been in. If you want rest, this is your hotel. Service was on-par with other five-stars, maybe a bit better. Mandarin Oriental in San Francisco - The toilet was slow to flush and needed to be flushed at least twice. The shower drain had to be held down to keep the water flowing. For the price I expected more. However, the concierge provided excellent service.

This hotel does an excellent job of providing service to clients. Everyone from valet, check-in attendant, and concierge provided top quality service. The rooms are immaculate with amazing views of the Transamerica Pyramid, Coit Tower, and the bay! The afternoon tea is a nice touch. I would definitely stay here again!

This was the nicest hotel I stayed at. The staff was extraordinarily polite and accommodating. The room was a perfect size and layout! The view was quite awesome and everything just worked out perfectly...

"Good hotel, but others in area are better"
First off, let me say this is a nice hotel. We had a room on the 46th floor overlooking the Bay Bridge, gorgeous view and very comfortable. Not real gripes against the place, but for the price you pay, you expect a wow factor that the Mandarin just doesn't have.

The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The bed was super comfortable and very private--never heard a peep from a neighbor.

If you do nothing else. Just take the elevator to any of the upper floors, step out and just enjoy the view. OUTSTANDING! Parking is the only issue. $40+ a night, but it is SF.

This is indeed the perfect 5 Star Hotel. It isn't cheap, but it is the very best hotel I have ever stayed in in a city atmosphere. The views from the 45th floor of San Francisco were inreal, and when the Giants won on Friday night we were treated to a fireworks show at eye level-- outstanding, romantic, terrific for a special treat.

We stayed at this room for four nights. The Bay View Room was amazing. There is an awesome view of the Bay. The service was great. The concierge was helpful getting us a rent car, reservations, and shuttles. Could not have asked for anything more from this hotel. If you are trying to decide, my wife and I loved this hotel.

Great view of city and Twin Peaks/Sutro Tower. Maid service very attentive with turn-down service nightly. Room clean esp bathroom. Furnishings and bed in good condition (well-kept up). Fabulous view of SF bay, Alcatraz, Coit Tower and an unobstructed view of the Transamerica Bldg from the huge picture windows in the hallway to the room! I had complimentary […] breakfast due to water pipe maintanence inconvenience. Food was excellent and carefully prepared. Food prices were EXPENSIVE, however. A cup of coffee with refills was $5.00 and breakfast with tax and tip would have been about $37. A 5 course tasting dinner menu was $95 per person. The hotel is within walking distance of the Ferry Bldg, home to cheese shops, Acme Bakery, produce stores and many excellent restaurants, such as The Slanted Door and Hog Island Oysters. "excellent view and service, not the best location"
we spent a bday weekend and wanted to be close to union square... its about 8 blocks from union square which was the only turn off. things we loved: a. convenient access to Muni / Bart b. excellent view of the bay / alcatraz / gg brdige from the room. c. awesome room d. complimentary green tea was awesome e. v nice beds and very well furnished room... I was in town for a meeting and also for a friend's 40th birthday party. This was my first experience staying at the hotel and I was extremely satisfied. I arrived early in the day (approx 11:00am) and even though I was arrived well before the stated check-in time, the hotel personnel made every effort to check me in. When they discovered that they […] did not have a room available, they offered a room upgrade for my inconvenience. The view from my room was absolutely gorgeous - friends came back to my room to hang out and watch the view as the sun set. Also, every time I passed a hotel employee they addressed me by name! "Awesome view, friendly staff"
My husband and I stayed at the Mandarin for the last night of our honeymoon (we traveled many cities versus going just one place) and could not be more pleased. It had been ten days of travel, and we were tired when we checked in. Probably looked as tired as we felt. However, the staff treated as like royalty. They had our room ready for early check-in […] but had offered to hold our bags if it wasn't. Everyone we encountered was polite, friendly and helpful. The room was clean, comfortable and offered the best view available in SF. I don't believe there are as many restaurants within walking distance as other areas, and those around close fairly early. Amazing view, really spectacular bed and they treated us like royalty. The service and the food was impecable. Only thing is they dont have pay per view and just ran up a box of DVDs for us to choose from which seemed sort of not so posh.

Der Umstand, dass sowohl der Pool als auch das Spa- und erweiterte Fitness-Angebot ausserhalb des Hotels - gegen Gebühr!? - benutzt werden müssen, ist für ein 5-Sterne-Hotel (in gewissen Reise-Katalogen sogar 6-Sterne-Hotel) schlicht und einfach nicht akzeptabel!!
