příjemný hotel se vstřícným personálem, ideální pro přespání během cesty nebo při krátkodobé cestě. Pro delší pobyt bych ho ale nezvolila (daleko od centra Osla)

Byli jsme spokojeni, spali jsme 3 noci, 1 noc ve vedlejším hotelu Soria Moria také 4hvězdy(náš hotel byl plný)...Když jsme se po noci vrátili na náš hotel (12.h byla doba pro opuštění Soria Moria), ještě neměli připraven uklizený.! Je vidět, že Voksenaasen Kultur og Konferanse Hotel je starší 4hvězdičkový otel, na pokoji sprcha bez vaničky(pouze dlaždice, hned vedle záchod-nejlépe to nevypadá v dnešní době). Snídaně dnes už standard, ale dobrá... Výkon-porovnání cena, kvalita vynikající... Poloha-když jezdí t-banen, je to příjemná cesta krajinou z Osla. Od t-banen k hotelu 300-400m procházka krásnou lesnatou krajinou... We were satisfied, we slept 3 nights, 1 night in hotel which cooperate with Soria Moria 4stars hotel (our hotel was that night full). When we arived at our hotel next day (12 O'clock, it was the time when we had leave Soria Moria), our room at Voksenaasen wasn´t prepared for us.! Is it clear that Voksenaasen is older 4stars hotel, in the room was only shower which wasn´t divorced with wc any barrier and you stay just at the same floor (we miss any step between Wc a shower, which is just next-in present day it doesn´t look nice) Result-compare price and service=very good Breakfest-in present days standard, but very good Location-when T-banen function it´s really pleasant travel from Oslo. From T-banen it´s just 300-400m really nice countryside. Hotel is near from Holmenkollen ( 85%)

Musím ocenit příjemné vystupování personálu. Dále pak vynikající snídani v kouzelném prostředí. Hotel je výborně umístěn, přímo v centru, nic okázalého, vytváří dojem útulného domova.

Situated in Oslo, Thon Hotel Astoria is close to Oslo Cathedral, Oslo City Hall, and Akershus Fortress. Also nearby are Nobel Peace Center and Royal Palace.

This hotel is close to the train and bus terminal. Close to city centre and attractions. Cheap. Rooms are small but very clean. Free Wi-fi. Great breakfast!!! What I don´t like - view is poor, very noisy street until 3 a.m. (Fri, Sat) - earplugs don´t help, hotel guests take prostitutes inside.

"Thon Hotel Astoria in Oslo"
This hotel has a good location, but otherwise it was a disappointment: 1) It was difficult to get warm water in the shower. It was possible, but took quite a while. 2) The ventilation was not working, and the air in the room got bad. In the breakfast table my colleaguet told me she had exactly the same problem: she had woken up and opened the window […] at 3 AM to get some fresh air. 3) Perhaps due to lack of ventilation, the bed sheets did not smell fresh, as they usually do. It was as if the bed sheets had been there untouched for ages. 4) During check-out these three complaints were written down by the hotel reception, to be passed on to the managers. I have heard nothing since, contrary to principles of good customer service. Now it seems to me as if they had no motivation to perform any better. (Had they contacted me, even for asking more details, I would not write this now.) Breakfast was quite OK and Wi-Fi was working well. The room was pretty small. "Thon Hotel Astoria; lot of noice"
This hotel is in the middle of the centre close to the major attractions of Olso and just a short walk from the central station. The hotel has a good breakfast, rooms are clean and somewhat tiny. However, I wasn't able to sleep even with earplugs and being somewhat deaf until 3 o'clock in the morning. This because of noise due to a café or disco in […] the neighbourhood. "For students and one-nighters only"
At the rate we got we would have expected more, the first room was tiny, dingy and had the smallest bathroom known to man. My grandmother was to stay here for four nights with her daughter, but we complained that it didn't look like the pictures and got upgraded to a family room. This was better but still not as good as the advertisement, and was really […] dusty. The chambermaid didn't vacuum or change the sheets even after we complained that they were stale and dusty for the entire stay. The other guests were young and left cigarette buds and empty beer cans in the halls and elevators and were noisy at best. The street is also under heavy construction right now and should be for a very long time. This was very inconvenient as the street was closed from the city side and detoured our taxi quite a bit. Cheap, centrally located hotel. Good location, basic hotel. Don't expect that much - but if you wan't to sleep cheap in Oslo this is this place. Small rooms.

The room was quite small (single room), as well as toilet and shower compartment. Cleanliness OK. WLAN OK, Breakfast OK. Price difference between this budget Hotel and other may not be big enough to justify using Thon Astoria.

This hotel was very nice and a fair price for Oslo. The service and amenities were excellent, including a lovely breakfast buffet included in the price. Business services were excellent as well--free wireless service in the rooms that always worked and an easily accessible computer in the lobby that included free printing, which was great for boarding […] passes and itineraries. The only detractor was the size of the rooms, which were quite small, but very clean and comfortable, although the bed was quite narrow. Good location for walking around the city centre and getting to main railway station and doing tourist things. Small quiet room facing central courtyard. Plentiful and tasty breakfast buffet. Would use again.

The rooms in the new section are a good size and with excellent beds. Those in the old section are very cramped, especially dfor two people. Neither room has cupboard space. Excellent breakfasts. Very friendly reception.

"Budget in Oslo"
This hotel was perfect for my purpose. Oslo is an insanely expensive city. For example, dinner for one at McDonalds was a little over $25 bucks. This hotel is perfectly located in the middle of downtown. All the staff was very helpful and professionally nice. It is a budget hotel so don't expect luxurious shampoos and carpets and that type of stuff. […] If that's what your looking for then I'm sure Oslo has plenty of very expensive hotels to offer. Don't buy a budget hotel and then expect luxuries. The free breakfast in the morning was quite good and worth its weight in gold. That type of meal would easily cost 60 or 70 dollars in Oslo. The hotel is located in a high traffic area which was what I wanted. I saw some reviews complain about the loudness on the weekends. That's true to some degree but don't get a centrally located downtown hotel if you're looking for peace and quiet. Go stay out by the airport 40 minutes from downtown if that's what you're looking for. Saturday night did have loud club music playing well into the middle of the night but closing your window helped and I'm not complaining because this hotel's advantage is it's heavy traffic location so it would be dumb to complain. Again, the staff members that I dealt with were incredibly helpful and nice so what more could you ask for? I definitely would recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to be in Oslo's downtown area and looking to save some cash. Další informace

We arrived late after a long day travelling and we were lucky as the double rooms were gone but the upgraded us to a family room! It was great and very clean and comfortable. The bathroom was clean modern and had a good shower. We were on the main street so there was noise from below but it's a city so it's expected and it did not stop us sleeping! […] Breakfast was a good selection! Good location for seeing the sights and only a five min walk to the railway station which was good for us! Oslo is lovely if rather expensive for food! "Good basic"
If all you want is breakfast and a central place to sleep, this is good value for Oslo. Location is very central if slightly dodgy. Room was clean and bed good but few TV channels and no bath, so not good for lingering in. Usual good Scandinavian breakfast buffet, though down a side stairs and long corridor.

Friendly and helpful reception staff. Good clean room furnished in functional Nordic style. Excellent shower which often isn't the case in budget hotels. Fantastic breakfast buffet that would shame many a larger, swankier hotel. All in all, great value for money.

The hotel is very well located, a 5 min walk from the central station. Very nice and clean room. It can be a bit noisy during the night, at least if you have a room with windows to the street side, despite being on the 4th floor I could still hear a lot of noise from people on the street, there's a few bars near by. But overall a good stay.

This hotel was close to the train station and the main "shopping" street. The room was plain and simple, expensive by US standards for a basic room but still nice. The wifi was free, the bathroom was adequate (although small) and the included breakfast buffet was very nice. very close to the train tation (and bus terminal). I stayed in a single room, which was reasonably big, clean, everything functioned. Breakfast buffet choice was simply fantastic, I would not expect to have a fruit platter of watermelon and grapes in Oslo. The staff servicing the breakfast area is a little bit too efficient to clean the tables so watch […] your food if you don't want to lose it ;-))) . It happened to me both days that I brought a plate (or a cup with my tea) to my table, went away to refill a glass with water and when I came back, my breakfast was gone and the table was cleaned up (obviously they thought I have left). Just a few remarks: The bed was a bit small (lengthwise ok, but the width was about 80 cm I would guess) The main lift and a drink machine downstairs were out of order. Další informace

The hotel staff were responsive, the room always clean, the breakfast (included) was a nice assortment of options, nicely presented. My one criticism was that the rooms were warm at night. I would go back.
"Great location near Oslo Central Train Station"
The Thon Astoria was ideal for our needs, although the first night there the street below was very noisy from a rather sketchy bar across the street. The second night we closed our window, and that solved the problem. We were happy enough that we will stay there two more nights when we return to Oslo.

We stayed 2 nights at the end of a tour of Scandinavia and this hotel was a good location for walking all around Olso and getting to the train station for our airport departure at the end of our trip. Good breakfast included in rate.

"Good For A Night"
The room was very, very small but very clean and convenient to the train station and some lovely shops. There is a club downstairs from the hotel that played extremely loud music until late in to the night. It was a bit too much. Once it ended, about 2 am, everything was fine for a night's sleep. The breakfast buffet was vast and excellent. On the return […] to my room I found someone sitting on the ground sleeping in the hallway. Clearly a party person from the loud club from the night before who did not have a room. Not cool. Why? I think it is a decent hotel for a night's stay and would say that it is good enough for just that except for the noise. If booking, I would ask about the noise problem in advance, if you will have to encounter the same problem on the night of your stay. Další informace

You get what you pay for. This place wasn't too expensive compared to other hotels in Oslo, but I got a single bed room and it was actually the smallest room I've ever stayed in, ever! "Quick Stay A+"
Super location near the Oslo S main train station. Easy to find. Check in was seamless. They have a free internet access terminal in the lobby for quick use by guests. Bed was the softest ever with pillow top and the room was very clean. Breakfast was a huge buffet with a lot of options. Would stay again and recommend to friends. This is very much a "budget"-type hotel, though it certaintly wasn't any worse than some other hotels I stayed at with a group tour that I was on through Sweden and Norway, which were rated with many more stars. For me, I just wanted a quiet, comfortable place to sleep after a long, grueling day of sightseeing. The other reviews talk about noise, my experience was much worse. The bar below the hotel started playing live heavy rock music and my small room sounded as if it were in the speaker. Earplugs didn't even help. I imagine that things are not always that bad but beware. Otherwise, the room was clean and cozy.
