"Nice room, not much else"
Friendly staff at check in and the room service runner was too. I had high hopes based on warm welcome. Room was clean, but matresses on beds need to be replaced as they are way too worn and soft (they almost wobbled). Pillows seemed old or at least, inexpensive. Housekeeping did a good job on room refresh. Restaurant left some to be desired, food was […] just ok and breakfast was understaffed (one server and one busser) unless everybody eats buffet. I found the selections to be uninspired. Ordered sliders and seasoned fries one night. Got mostly bread and onion and ketchup was spicier than the "seasoned" fries. Plenty of parking as long as you don't mind lugging bags from a lower outdoor lot in 96* heat (no bellman service, no secure bag drop that I could see). Most courteous hotel staff I've seen in any hotel. They want you to enjoy your stay and we did. They did everything they could to ensure our stay was top notch. "Not worth the money."
I book this hotel a week before I went down. It was crazy expensive. I asked for a 2 bedroom I got a single king bed, with 3 people on the trip and my buddy has to sleep to sleep on a cot. They said the hotel is booked and there's no extra room. We used their gym and it was a joke. We have gym memberships but there was no LA fitness around the area. "Difficult to find"
The hotel is difficult to find -- even for GPS. The hotel uses a sports bar as its restaurant (dinners), and because the hotel is smack dab on the freeway, there are no walking options. Room was wonderful, the only few things was that the bed squeaked and we were under the ice machine or something because it ran all day until about 10 or 11. The bathroom needs major updating. The bathtub drained very slowly. The fan barely worked so there was too much humidity when you took a shower. We researched hotel options and booked through Expedia and thought we were entitled to breakfast but found out it was not included. We could have found much better value using my company discount at other options. We ended up staying an additional day because we didn't wan to pack up an move for a day. The hotel was VERY clean. The only problem with our room was the hair dryer didn't work. They replaced it as soon as we called. Also we had to call for housekeeping service which was handled immediately. We only had decaf coffee in our room the 1st day. We requested regular coffee when we called for housekeeping and it was provided. We came in late Friday night (actually Saturday morning, around 1:30a), the staff was excellent; got right in. The parking lot was packed because the hotel was full. So finding a spot was a bit difficult. But my biggest complaint was we asked for a sofa bed because it was a king-bed room and we had 3 people staying in one room. My family had a blast. We came in and the front desk were very helpful. We actually added another guest and they were able to accomodate us immediately. "Great value-Good location for shopping"
