"Rude Front Desk"
We booked a room for a wedding reception that was held at this Hotel. I asked for an early check-in and was told we could check in at 1:30 PM, We were driving to this venue for 4 hrs and wanted to change before going to church. We arrived shortly after 1 PM and were rudely informed by the front desk that it was a "request" not a "guarantee" and we couldn't […] get our room until 2:30 PM. The ceremony was at 3 PM and about 15 minutes away. I told him that would not work for us. He then told us he could give us a double bed or queen (we had reserved a king). I told him that was fine. Why wouldn't he have told us that in the beginning instead of being rude and arrogant??? This hotel was only about have full so his attitude about not being able to accommodate all the wedding guests was ridiculous. The room was fine, pillows were terrible. The hotel has 4 large buildings of rooms, and it was obvious that everyone there could have been accommodated in just one of the buildings. For some odd reason they gave me a room in the farthest building, on the back side where I was, for all intents and purposes, alone! "Not impressed with this motel"
This hotel was quite expansive with multiple buildings. However, I did not consider it a hotel but it was very much a motel. All rooms entered from the outside. The rooms were very well worn and looked like a low budget stay place. We had no maid service and stayed 2 nights. The hot water was good. "Rough around the edges"
We read that there may be noise so I asked for a room away from the hotel club/bar. But it was still noisy with music thumping from a wedding (they had 3 that weekend!) and a kid skateboarding all night. Paper thin walls.... the room could have been vacuumed better. It was chilly so we turned on the heater... well the smoke from it being the first time […] on sent the smoke alarm blaring and we had to get service to come over. Coffee pot was dirty and they were out of regular coffee at the hotel (I know) and I had to go to apparently the only Dunkin Donuts in the whole world (packed). A no frills motel. Upon check-in, I requested to stay in a quiet spot away from the bar, and we were luckily accommodated since there was a rodeo band playing that night. The bathroom was squeaky clean - even in the corners. The bed-linens were fresh, towels nice sized & soft. This would be a great place for a family - volleyball courts, ball field, indoor & outdoor pools, again, very clean. Close enough to Hershey to make it worthwhile to stay here. The rooms was average. There were 4 of us and both nights the cleaners only left two towels, no shampoo and two bars of soap. Had to call to get more. This place was off the hook. "Talking to a wall"
We stayed for 2 nights. After the 1st night my Wife ended up asking 4 times for our room to be made-up with new towels etc. Four times , "NO PROBLEM" ---NO ONE EVER CAME ! "NICE PEOPLE NO FOOTBALL"
When we arived they put us in a room right above the bar that had a band that night, after dinner we went back to our room and it was like we were on stage with the band. I call the front desk and they emeadley moved us to another room with the same feachers and they comped us our room for the inconveance. VERY NICE!!!!!!. Positives: Great location for our family vacation to Hershey Park (easy 25 minute ride)! Lots of shopping and restaurants very close by. Negatives: This is a MOTEL, not a hotel; NO MATTRESS PADS on the beds -- OMG -- really??? - NO sanitizer spray at the fitness center and one of the two treadmills was not in service; MUCH BLACK MILDEW under the soap […] holder in the shower -- YUK!; empty water bottle and trash from previous guest behind the TV credenza; total party motel > 3 bars on site. My family was in a rather dingy building far from the pool and other amenities. The carpet was so dirty that turned our toddlers' feet and socks brown, so we bought flip-flops and Lysol at the (conveniently close) shopping area the first night. The housekeeping staff was very polite, but the property is not well maintained. I was shocked when looking […] again at the photos. While the location was good, the hotel was overpriced for what we excpected. The rooms were on the small side for the price. I feel it was understaffed for the needs of the guests. Also, the WiFi did not work most of the time. The in-door pool actually had a very weird smell. What was a good experience was the maid who helped me quite a bit. "not to comfortable"

"Exceeded our expectations!!"
Our room was very spacious. We were very surprised at all the amentities on the premises!!!! We added this hotel to our file for future use. Having 2 pools,mini golf etc. was wonderful. They were all set up for a wedding the following day it looked wonderful. It exceeded our expectations. Oh and the numerous squirrels on the premises was delightful […] !! "Very clean! Very noisey!"
The hotel itself was very nice. The outdoor pool was very nice. The indoor pool was a little unclean. The rooms were very clean. The beds were a little uncomfortable however. We did experience some extremly loud and disrespectfull neighbors and when I did contact the desk 3 out of the four days we stayed they did send someone up to tell them to keep […] the noise down. I would of thought that after numerous complains they would of either refunded some of our money or at least offered us a new room or another night stay or something. When we checked out that asked how everything was we mentioned all the problems we had and all they said was "sorry". I know its not really the hotels fault but we left unsatisfied but the overall cleanliness of the hotel meet and exceeded our expectations.
