We enjoyed staying in Affinia Chicago couple weeks ago. Hotel has good location, it is located literaly on the Magnificent Mile in the city centre, close to Hancock Tower and other attractions. there are bus stops close to the hotel. room was big, very nice, clean and airconditioned. Hotel didn´t offer free wify to its customers, not even in the loby. 24 hours internet acces was 10 dollars. I think that for the price we paid for the hotel, free wify is a must and basic service any hotel should offer to its customers. Hotel has its own restaurant on the roof and next door is Gino´s pizza, famouse Chicago pizza place. It is quite a wait for the table but it is worth waiting. We ate there twice and both times food was absolutely fabulous.
Location.
The Hotel Allegro Chicago is located in the Loop's theater and business district in Chicago, Ill. This property stands adjacent to the Cadillac Palace Theatre, while Magnificent Mile shops and restaurants are located one mile from the hotel.
Hotel Features.
The lobby displays theatrical influences with bursts of ruby-red, burnt-orange and forest-green hues offset by granite grays and ocean blues underfoot. A baby grand piano is positioned next to a double-sided fireplace that anchors the lobby's 3-story staircase. The hotel's 312 Chicago restaurant captures Old World charm with a menu dominated by family recipes that enrich contemporary Italian flavors. Encore is a lunch venue by day, but transforms into a liquid lounge with 2 bars by night. Cameo serves coffee, pastries and fresh fruit. The hotel hosts complimentary wine receptions every evening. Art Deco fixtures and oversized windows add interest to the hotel's 14,000 square feet of function space. Wireless Internet access is available throughout the hotel (surcharge). The 24-hour fitness facility is equipped with cardiovascular and weight-training machines, free weights and yoga balls. The concierge schedules in-room massage therapy upon request. Pets are permitted.
Guestrooms.
The 19-story Hotel Allegro Chicago offers 483 contemporary nonsmoking guestrooms decorated in royal blue, mocha-brown and silver-gray tones. Lights cast star-patterned shadows against sky-blue ceilings. Rooms include wireless Internet access (surcharge), flat-screen televisions and MP3 adaptors. Bed design includes pillowtop mattresses draped with 300-thread count linens and white duvets. Suites boast jetted bathtubs and zebra-print bathrobes. Honor bars are fully stocked. The hotel offers yoga baskets upon request, and the Kimpton yoga channel broadcasts guided yoga sessions.

312 Chicago - American cuisine with an Italian touch is served in this two-level restaurant with a city-casual atmosphere. The top floor has amber-glass light fixtures, mahogany furniture, and plenty of booths. The main floor features a wooden bar and exhibition kitchen. Menu items such as spit-roasted organic chicken and gnocchi are served on white-linen tables. Open daily for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
Encore Lunch Club and Liquid Lounge - Boldly colored in dramatic red, yellow, and purple, this street-level lounge offers lunch Monday–Friday, and is a popular club in the evening. Serves 16 kinds of martinis, including the "Encore" which combines vodka with port. Appetizers, light meals, and desserts are served into the late evening.
Hotel Allegro Chicago's 24-hour fitness room offers cardiovascular and strength-training equipment; a glass wall looks onto the fifth-floor hallway.
Both Millennium Park and Lake Michigan's 20-mile lakefront path—great for running, walking, bicycling, or in-line skating—are within a mile of the hotel. Bicycles, in-line skates, and pedal-powered buggies meant for groups are available for rent at several beachfront locations. During the summer, Oak Street Beach, two miles north, is popular for sunbathing and for swimming when lifeguards are on duty. Also in summer, beach volleyball courts are available for rental or pick-up games. A public golf course is located six miles north.

"Chic hotel, great location"
I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the Allegro hotel. I stayed there recently while attending a conference for work and could not be more pleased. The service was great, hotel was beautiful and chic, my room was spacious, clean and had a great view. The hotel is also close to great shopping on State street and Millennium park. It was a great stay. We've been to the Allegro before and went back because of the location, the friendly staff, the nice decor & cleanliness, and the 5-6 p.m. wine service! Great location, conveniency of hopping on the train at O'Hare, 20 mints later at the station half a block walk to the hotel. Great food around, theaters, river and 4 blocks to millennium park. Can't wait to return.

"Very stylish and comfortable"
Anyone who appreciate style will feel at home in this hotel. Staff is friendly and helpful and the rooms look immaculate. Fairly small, but very nice. "Great location"
Can't beat the location of the Hotel Allegro for theater, shopping, and dining in downtown Chicago. Price is so reasonable. The complimentary wine reception was a very nice touch--plenty of places to lounge in the reception area while enjoying a glass of wine. We will stay there again!

Traveled to Chicago all the time, and never stayed at a hotel with a beautiful, stylish King Deluxe Suite. I appreciate the space of the room, jet-tub, and ever so soft bed that I wanted to take home. I forgot to look at the mattress because I want one. "Allegro hotel"
Great! Modern (lots of patterns and bold colors). Friendly. Comfortable. Just right! Not a huge room but fine for my needs. Parking was a little pricy but its downtown and that's comparable to other rates. If you book, jOin kimpton in touch rewards. It's free and gets you free wifi and free minibar. Great! Im not getting ridiculous spam either !

We enjoyed our stay as the staff was extremely accommodating, the rate was fair and the fun kid's gifts were a treat. Very convenient to the theater district, a short walk to shopping and a 20 minute walk to Millenium Park and ice skating. "After Thoughts"
Loved the convenience and accessability to all main attractions,theaters,shopping and great restaurants. We really enjoyed the restaurant in the hotel and were able to walk to several in the immediate vaccinity. Would not hesitate to revisit this hotel.
The hotel was beautiful, but I was disappointed in the size. Very small and it didn't look that way in the photos.
We have family in Chicago who all live in the city. Therefore, the Allegro hotel is very convenient. Furthermore, we love the hotel. It is always our first choice!

The Hotel Allegro is one of my very favorites in Chicago!! It is so conveniently located to the theatres, to shopping, and to the German Christmas Market which I attend every year. The staff is friendly and helpful! The Happy Hour which they have every day at 5 pm is a great treat!! When traveling to Chicago, it will always be my first choice!!

If you like the funky hotel experience, you'll love the Hotel Allegro. Great wine hour, wonderful location and very helpful and warm staff. Who knew we'd need an umbrella in December--but the Allegro staff to the rescue. It's not a super posh room, but the experience itself is so warm and welcoming!

"Clean, pleasant staff"
We stayed at the Allegro because it is in the theater district and was a great price. Overall, I'd say it was an excellent hotel for the price. The decor was fresh, clean, and interesting. The rooms are small but exceptionally clean. It's an easy walk to theaters and shopping. The dining options near the hotel are limited to high end fare and lunch/fast […] food, which was somewhat disappointing. The wine reception offered by the hotel every evening was pleasant (and they have a local beer on offer if you don't like wine), though the wine was not very good. This hotel is located next to the loop , easy access to the airport taking the blue line and no need to exchange trains. We walked everywhere from here and the hotel has great decor plus a nice wine happy hour everyday for free.

Excellent stay at this Kempton. Loved the location. Note: Being from another city I was slightly disappointed as to getting help for methods for getting from hotel to restaurant to United Center.
